The current conditions with the kids being taught in trailers is un safe and really unhealthy.
I don't know when it became acceptable to teach kids this way but i think it's wrong. The structure of a true building can only help with the learning experience.

The current trailers should all be removed and the extra space used for rec.purposes as was intended. The indoor part of the school could be a great Community Center. They should make all the surrounding developers chip in to redo the Facade.
Just my Two cents.

Anybody remember how Lipski berated Dan Falcon for wearing that tee shirt that said,
"Get Drunk Get Naked Get Arrested Get Elected" at the Pay to Play Council vote.I think he said it was Embarrassing the city.
What does he think now.

This administration has been pissing on the taxpayers for years.
Lipski probably thinks he did nothing wrong. Arrogent drunken fools are running this city.

First off, this jerkoff has no permit for a sound truck on record with the clerk. He circled my block trying to antagonize some other idiot who was yelling at him to shut the F___ up.

Anyone who thinks that this B.S. will work downtown is just to stupid to even consider. What's next a thousand pole signs and bumper stickers plastered all over the streets.

Starting your campaign by breaking the law with an illegal sound truck is not to bright. Then again he might just fit in real well with the current City Hall Crew.

No they really don't have a F___king clue. CNBC called today and said come on and City Hall climbed into their Clown Car and went to the studio thinking they could change the subject from Healy being removed from office to Healy the Elder Statesmen.

He should have been on weeks ago.We are the biggest financial district in Jersey but instead he was out singing in the bars.

Put a fork in him he's done.

Re: Healy appealing to Supreme Court

Well this story is almost finished.JJ is reporting that Healy has lost his appeal to the New Jersey Supreme court to overturn his conviction.
He is quoted as saying he will now accept his guilty verdict and pay his fine .

The final chapter of this never ending saga will take place in the court room of the Monmouth County assignment judge Lawsen.
Lou Manzo will square off against Healy as he asks the judge to remove Healy from office using the case of the Council women from Newark as a precedent.

Field trip anyone........

Nice deversion.
Erie street was your club house that Jr paid below value rent for month after month while you were in office.
The Mocco property had the full window Jr signs that were forced to come down on election day because they were illegal.

All of your operations were run out of sussex street and i do recall you running a fund raiser out of the sand bar before the election.

Not that there is any thing wrong with this, just don't be so sanctimonious now that your not getting free rent.

How many developers is the former councilmen working for now,For that matter how many are you working for????

I'm not a huge fan of real estate developers, but I think the city ought to recognize that real estate developers are caught up in terrible economical upheaval right now and be careful about starting new enforcement actions against them right now.

If, say, the city sees that Mocco is doing something with construction that will someday make the buildings fall down, then it should step in.

If Mocco is really violating some limit on new construction, and building where he shouldn't build, the city should stop that.

If Mocco maybe owes the city some money because he took in revenue that wasn't quite kosher -- well, OK, maybe the city should put in a claim, but it shouldn't be tying Mocco up in meetings right now, and it shouldn't necessarily expect Mocco to cough up a huge amount of time at a time when he probably has a hard time tapping existing credit loans, let alone taking out a new loan.

In general, I think the city has to go on the assumption right now that best path to future stability is to try to nurse reasonably responsible developers along till the economy turns, and not assume that a company that looks big and stable actually is stable enough to deal with an unexpected $100,000 bill. There may be a lot of companies out there right now that are secretly $100,000 from liquidation.

In theory, maybe we should be wiping the weaker companies out in the hope that newer, better companies will spring up, but I don't think there's any guarantee that newer, better companies will spring up. If Jersey City wipes out Mocco, for example, maybe it will be another 20 years before another Mocco comes along.

And, maybe not, and maybe 10 faster, stronger, better Mocco alternatives will show up next year, but I think counting on that to be the case seems pretty aggressive right now.

Alb, you may want to do a Google search and a Jersey journal archive search on this developer before you take on his cause. I'm thinking go back to his days as mayor of North Bergen to current ~ enjoy the reading!

So i assume you think he is a bad guy,Pinky.
As i recall your former Boss Jr Maldonado had his campaign Head quarters in a Mocco owned Building on the corner of Sussex and Washington where the bank now sits.He got this rent free as there is no elec report which shows a payment nor an in kind contribution.
When did he become a bad guy? Before or after he gave you the free space across from school 16.

This is why in all the polls he is the person you want to have a beer with. That said is he the person you want calling the shots in the largest city in new jersey. With 2000 jobs gone on our water front do we need a over age Frat boy or a 24/7 administrator.

The funny thing is i don't think this story has an ending yet.
I 'm not talking about the Bradley Beach incident,i mean the whole Cunningham dies of a heart attack, special election,Healy drunk on the porch(dirty trick or not)story.

Its like watching a train wreck.I really think Manzo is going to be successful in court,at which point we are going to have to do this all over again.I much prefer to just vote the guy out next May.

Not for nothing, that job was never approved by the planning board yet,nor do they have a building permit. So why the ground breaking by Healy and company.

If you google the owner Mike Pazden you will find that he was convicted of a crime years ago that forbid him from being a developer (its in the court documents).

Fulop played by the very rules the city set.He purposely did not gather more than the clerk told him to because of the special election clause (250,000 for election)Does anybody think that they did not always have this up their sleeve.

This is about their money. The online news story does not show the side bar of the seven councilmen who are collecting almost a million dollars from the county.Someone should scan and post this.

Better JC and Civic JC got this thing to the one yard line and the
Douche bags in City Hall moved the Goal post.

The question should be "What are we going to do about it"

In a special election the Machine would win.By going on the Nov.
presidential ballot it has a real shot at passing.

Over 60,000 people will will vote in the pres.election.In a special maybe 4000 would vote and the City Hall votes would win.
