After speaking with my buddy at the Path, he said the reason why we see 7 car trains on the NWK-WTC line is because the normal train is having some sort of equipment failure. The standby trains are all 7-car so they can be used on all the lines for greatest flexibility.

The people who are most interested in more development are usually realtors and real estate sales associates.

WOW, Sutherland I'm curious do you have any rudimentary education in economics? Specifically the supply and demand curve?

So you just assumed a nice neighborhood close to Manhattan would stay static? If there was plenty of parking, by the second law of thermodynamics, that parking will be equalized with the rest of the city. Do you think people who live on Columbus & Marin have street parking?

as most suicidal bombers are uneducated youths with dismal lives, why not just make immigrant rules super easy.

you have to have graduated from one of these colleges to enter, http://www.thebestschools.org/feature ... versities-in-world-today/

that way, people coming are contributing to society. It seriously makes no sense for these refugees to be coming to the USA, I mean how many did we take from Africa? Most refugees flee to neighboring countries, let them come here like they are going to Greece & Italy. If they make it like the Haitians & Chinese, then that's on us and ICE.

Pretty sure you won't hear a sympathetic ear here. Parking issues are part of urban life, if you don't like it put your car in a garage. I started doing that in 2008, made life much better.

But we can't. Which is why the ONLY solution is to prevent future ones from coming here. Unless we want a future filled with bombings and attacks. Trump has been right from Day 1.

Dude, if we we ever declared something blanketing all M's, that would be a rallying cry for them. Their leaders would be finally able to say that we are at war with all of them and make it that much easier to recruit more poor, disillusioned, people who never should have been born.

The problem with using the M word is that it affects all the non radicalized M's. We need to distinguish the radicalized M's separate from the regular M's and need to do this without using the word M. Otherwise this will alienate the regular M's and could make this into a religious battle that we didn't know we were entering...

I remember it was noticeable because the music was louder than the live acts on JC Fridays. After a few hours, dance music gets old if you aren't rolling.

Wow, how quickly people forget. I lived in Grove Pointe one year and in the summer you could hear Hard Grove's music pretty loudly. I think they sponsored a LGBTQQIP2SAA night.

Have to be the dumbest thing I've heard - If you drive a manual car you're more focused on the act of driving; you're totally engaged with the movement of the vehicle, the road and the speed to make correct decisions when cornering and in traffic ... you're always thinking about the road conditions.

Yes, ONCE you are proficient at it, I've seen many people learning manual who look down at the shifter because they don't know where to go. I would say this is the most dangerous because not only is the driver not looking at the road, the car's speed is unpredictable.

Same thing with distracted driving, people get better at changing the radio station, drinking, smoking while driving...

Manual cars should also be banned. It is too complicated/difficult to use a clutch and shift gears as you are left with only 1 hand on the wheel.

Changing the radio station is just as distracting as most other activities.

Instead of more regulation, just make the driving test for a license closer to real life. There should be a section for safe distracted driving.

Tilted Kilt fit the bill but they didn't make it. Hopscotch is pretty empty too, I don't think DTJC has the weekday crowd to support these large establishments.

According to this, http://www.pewforum.org/religious-landscape-study/, Catholics are ~21% and Muslims ~1%

Now, the prison population percentages are ~31% and ~6% respectively.

The Catholic representation in prisons is 48% higher than the general population. However Muslims are 600%.

Must be profiling...

If we cross reference this with race, then we are really getting somewhere :)

Hi Jonny, unfortunately,

"cockroaches are typically nocturnal and rest for about 75% of the day. If you see them during the daytime hours, it?s a good indication that you have a serious infestation on your hands. Some people believe that for every one cockroach that you do see, there are hundreds of cockroaches that you don?t see hiding in cabinets, walls, and other choice places."

I don't recall ever having a cockroach in the last 11 years in JC. This is in my current place and my previous addresses.

On the other hand, I have had centipedes (many that were 3" long, eww!!!), fruit flies, ants, etc.

He kind of convinced me that Hillary will most likely do as President what she did as Secretary of State. Which is to maintain the position but do nothing extra.

it's like at work, there are people who go through the day doing their job competently. But you want those that do that as well as show initiative.

We want to be moving forward, not tread water.

The Republican party is already changing. Those old white men are being replaced by Latinos and Asians. This will accelerate as current liberal social issues become mainstream. Once the left embraces the next step of identity and sex (trans species and I'm not sure which will gain traction but it may be bestiality, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia) it will accelerate.

What a total FU by the building to do this over the summer. There should at a minimum be some sort of adjustment to the maintenance fee.

The amenity floor of the Trump Building is what sells it, I liked their pool way better than 77 Hudson.

Re: How to manage buying and selling at the same time?

If you need to sell your current house to pay the down payment on your new house, I would first look at a bunch of houses where you want to move to. That way you have an idea of what type of houses are out there and what you can afford.

Second, once you are an expert and identify a few houses you like, I would put the original house on the market. Once that gets out of review, you can immediately put an offer on a house you like with the home sale condition. Since you are already under contract, most sellers will be okay with it.

Schedule the close for the second house a few weeks after the first. Also, sell the house to someone who will be flexible on close and open to a leaseback. Some banks limit leasebacks to thirty days so it can be a little tight. But this way you don't have to put your stuff in storage and have a little time to renovate the new house.

If the house you want falls through you can always back out of your sale as a last measure.
