Make sure you line the bottoms of the sleepers with EPDM. Since you'll need a rail start thinking about how you'll fasten it. If you are fastening to a rim make sure you've a couple of inches underneath to allow runoff to drain to your gutters (unless you have scuppers).
Sleepers are your least expensive option -- the tiles and bison supports the guy below is talking about are best reserved for commercial decks. PM if you want more info. Been a deck builder/designer for many years.

Bison supports are extremely ($$$$$) pricey given how many you'll likely need and only work well if your roof slopes in a single direction. I only use bison where I am using joist supports for ordinary 2x and 4x frame material since I find the tiles are ugly and cost prohibitive for residential work. One good thing about their system is you can raise it fully loaded -- legos for builders.
Other option are sleepers if you have a one direction slope but put some rubber padding under the tapered sleepers. Third option is a freestanding ordinary deck right over the roof. This is the best option if your situation allows. What are you doing for railing? If you don't have a parapet wall you'll likely need at least a 2x8 rim anyway which eliminates use of the tiles.

I get it. Sometimes the sentiment is well founded however. It's not really a rent question per se as you note. If the market supports douche establishments than so be it. If the demo supports it, then case closed. That's the market right?
These ops so far have little to do with the economics. Just stating their thoughts concerning the transition from Hoboken to Jersey City. Few would doubt that Jersey City is the next Hoboken, might as well as accept and shut ya mouth?!

Clear the condensate drain. If it's no gravity drained make sure the condensate pump is working. They do condensate , make sure you don't discharge on a walkway or side of the building. I'd feel bad taking your money. Borrow a compressor and blow out the line if it's clogged. Simple DIY. Or call your handyman.

Nobody will answer you because your question is entirely unclear and you haven't provided enough information. I will say that yes, it sounds like you are getting hosed. However, prices vary based on who you've hired to do the job, labor and material choices. One end of the cost spectrum you have vinyl siding and on the other exotic hardwoods and other types of cladding. I've panned and cladded entire box bays for customers for under 2k with 16 gauge copper. Vinyl siding for a typical NJ house runs 5-6k. Clarify the scope and I can tell you more about how I would price it if it were my job.

Lincoln Park, especially the north east side, is overrun by feral cats, many with violent propensities. Folks I know have been bitten or clawed over by the Church, where one or two lots have been completely overtaken by feline gangs.

Seriously, there is a whole world out there. We are doing quite fine without your help.

Actually, looks like they changed their entire theme. No longer a sports bar but now a Spanish "tapas" restaurant according to the current info posted on harri.com and other "google" sources. Not sure whether they considered their competition down the road. Hope I'm wrong but don't have terribly high expectations that this place will ultimately succeed. Just a feeling.

My guess is a new owner purchased the lease and "business." Nothing about the fit out makes sense based on the information previously relayed, i.e., trust fund beneficiary, etc. If that were the case, one can reasonably assume the necessary upfront capital would have been invested into the business to get it operational a long long time ago.

You have several responses from contractors. Your start point is a call to the dep't to explain what transpired, and your next stop will likely involve uncovering the finish work so the rough can be inspected. If I understand your situation correctly, your contractor never should have moved forward past the rough without a pass from the City.

If I read your inquiry correctly, the inspector showed up but never inspected the plumbing rough (or failed it), and your contractor went ahead and finished the work anyway. If so, I suspect you have or may have a problem closing out that permit.

For sure, I wasn't scoffing per se at the idea of repairing a shade, as was clear from my post. Just noting with amusement the requests often made for contractors with some type of idiosyncratic background specialty tied to the product itself.
