Every bar in Jersey City has TVs. The craft beer bar opening on the corner of Newark and Grove is supposedly going to have 30 TVs. It's a tiny bar, and it's going to have 30 TVs. That is nuts.

That place is going to be a craft beer bar??

Have you seen a menu or website?

Don't think of the home you live in as an investment. Think of it as 4 walls and a roof to keep you dry. If you keep that in mind it will make the hard decisions of home ownership, much easier.

Hopefully they do a good job at it - I would like some good old indian food.

That would be awesome. Hopefully someone from the Journal Square area is bringing their skills down to Hamilton park.

Yeah, the owner mentioned they'd be playing classic movies on the TVs. I don't think it'll become a sports bar anytime soon.

Interesting.

Goonies was on last night with music but I still think they are unnecessary. It's a cool, minimalist space and I feel they detract.

With that said, I will be frequenting Third and Vine. Can't wait to see till they have the full menu rolled out. I like how they have been adding and tweaking the menu as the weeks pass.

I was in last night and they installed TV's recently.

I think they should take them out, the place doesn't need tv's and I feel like it detracts from the astetics of the space. I hope they didn't put them in because they feel need tv's to attract the sports crowd.

Just a funding thing. We're planning a Kickstarter to get the equipment funded, and in exchange we'll give people some badass growlers filled with beer, and potentially a few other things. Still putting the details together, but getting a kickstarter campaign will help us get our draft system set up a lot faster, as the equipment is somewhat expensive.

Cool, sounds good

I promise we'll stop bugging everyone on JCList soon, but we do have a request. We're trying to get our growler system set up ASAP, but want to make a short video to promote the idea. If anyone wants to take 5 seconds to make a cameo in it, just ask a cashier about growlers. We've had so many people ask us about growlers, and having actual members of the community on video bugging us about it will make it that much easier to to get it happening.

Who are your trying to convince with this promo video? Is it a funding thing or city ordinance?

I recently tried Clown Shoes Galactica and was really impressed. Are there many other commercial ales use Galaxy hops in the finish, and are balanced this well? For my tastes, this one really stands out among the American pale ales I?ve tasted over the past 25 years.

There may be a few galaxy specific beers out there but there aren't a lot. I think your best bet would be to go into your good beer store of choice and ask. That's what I would do anyway. There are some out there but not that many are distributed in our area.

Has anyone heard about what's going into this space on the corner of Erie and Pavonia in the space of the old dry cleaner. Looks like they are doing some really nice exterior work. I'm hoping they are putting in a bar/restaurant but I'm not sure about the zoning. We need more restaurants in the in neighborhood, we are sevely lacking good food choices.

We don't at the moment, but I'll look into it. We're focusing mostly on craft American beer but I'll see if there's anything available. It's difficult to source some of those Carribean and Central American beers.

We just now got a delivery of Arcadia's Cereal Killer and Telegraph Rhinoceros barleywines, if those are something new to you.

Cool. Get any other new stuff in today?

Is there anyway to see your inventory online? I know you have the PDF but I also know that it can't be easy for you guys to update on a delivery-by-delivery basis.

I can tell you that place is out of her price range. I believe they are asking $2200.

Agreed, no need to appologize. I was simply talking about my first impressions and I did note that I knew that it was a first run of beers and that the selection would change. It certainly wasn't a dig at the place, I love it!

It was myself and not Moobs that ask for the barley wine/gose (I know, you probablay can't ask for beers of opposite end of the spectrum). I did see the old fog horn and the class of '88. I was just hoping to try something a little different, maybe something I hadn't had before.

I will certainly be stopping in again soon for brew supplies and beers and will be telling everyone I know in the neighborhood as well.

Can I be the first to request a spot on the list for KBS?

I didn't seem like 500 beers to me. It was a similar sort of selection to Jersey, maybe a bit more. I didn't notice a lot of unique beer that I hadn't seen before.

More than good enough for my needs, but I didn't walk out thinking that it was something very different from most good liquor stores.

I'm not sure if they ever stated 500 beers but I agree with Moobs. I'm not sure what "Jersey" is but the selection was decent but nothing special/unique. In my opinion Buy Rite and Jersey Wine & Spirits have a better selection of more unique beers in my opinion. I'm hoping once the TQ gets more estabilshed they will be able to bring in those more specialty beers. Then again Buy Rite's buying power is extreme so they will tend to get a wider selection of more interesting beers.

For example, I went in last night hoping to pick up a Barley/Wheat wine or a gose but there were none to be found.

I stopped in last night. Cool little space. Nice and clean. Don't forget to make your way all the way to back for the best part. Their grain room. Awesome selection of specialty grains and brew supplies.

I'm hoping that once they establish good relations with the distributors they will be getting in more limited edition beers. That will really set this place off.

Cheers!

I'm not sure how "authentic" this place is for ramen. I had the pork ramen for lunch a few weeks ago and the pork was a few pieces of tenderloin.

Mine didn't come with the egg even though it said it would. Did you guys have to ask for the egg?

Another example is the 12ft Uhaul that's been sitting on the corner of Erie and 9th for 2 weeks now. It's sitting on the corner and covered in show. It should be towed. There is obviously no parking sticker on it.

I know alternate side parking isn't in affect but shouldn't cars without parking passes be ticketed and/or towed?
