Re: Burning the Confederate and Nazi banners in bustling Journal Square...

I wouldn't be opposed to a group collecting Nazi and Confederate flags and burning them, but to purchase them and then burn is just putting money in the pockets of people selling those items.

If you live downtown, have functioning legs, and work in the city there is zero need for a car.

Oh, goodness... The hyperbole never ceases with this nutter.

You know what else takes up "so much space on an already crowded platform"?? Fat, obese people. And Indian workers carrying their 50-pound backpacks. They take up as much space as those 6-inch thick "walls". You know what else takes up a ton more space? The clueless people who insist on bringing an OPEN double wide stroller onto PATH stations and trains.

Resized Image

I'm not seeing the connection between your image and my post, but I know you have a hard on for seeing sociopathic behavior in many things. You sure have some odd obsessions.

Let's review
1. You have issues with fat people
2. You have issues with obese people
3. You have issues with Indian people with back-packs but not other races with back-packs, yet these people could be U.S citizens
4. You have issue with parents with more then one child in a stroller.

Seriously you are a CLASSIC sociopath and don't even know it - Just keep on posting and your personality disorder shows it's true colors ... it must be easy for you to be so perfect!

If someone is wearing an oversized backpack on the train 8/10 times it's an Indian male. That's the reality. PATH needs to do s better job of drawing attention to this problem as some people are oblivious to how inconsiderate it is.

The coffeeshop isn't my scene, but it does fill a niche and is always packed on the weekends. The other two places indeed suck, powerhouse must be hemorrhaging money. Other than the occasional private party and NFL Sundays there is never more than a handful of people there.

I'm eating two boots twice as often because of all the whiners on here. It's also the best pizza by the slice in downtown.

Prices are artificially inflated due to an extremely low quantity of inventory for purchase, as somebody else noted earlier. There are bidding wars on mediocre properties. There really is very low inventory, for sale. Does anybody know why there is such a reluctance to build condos in these new high rises, as opposed to making them rentals? There is obviously ridiculous demand for condos.

Condos are seen as high risk for lenders. Easier to finance a rental property.

I just want to point out that it's not even hard to find street parking in JC at night and on weekends. My father has visited me downtown dozens of times and has never had an issue finding free street parking. The only issue here is that we need to stop building these waste of space parking garages.

Too much parking. Last thing we need in downtown are more vacant parking garages.

A parking garage downtown seems like a horrible misuse of land.

I was in Two Boots last week and there weren't any seats available so they must not be doing that bad. I don't think Two Boots and Porta are comparable in any way.

Most of the food that is sold at the market is meant to be eaten on the go so I imagine that would compete directly with a similar food in pizza.

This place has pretty decent beer at very fair price. My only complaint is for a place that emphasizes having a bunch of tvs they are horrifically mounted and placed. If you are sitting at the bar you have to crane your neck at an impossible angle to see the screen.
