Your exhaustive, in depth research on this subject (looked at wikipedia) has lifted the shades from my eyes. If I had been the victor in this important disagreement I too would have posted twice in my giddy, smug, inconsequential point-scoring delight.

Meh, it wasn't exhaustive. I already knew that fact. It's just infinitely delightful shutting down bigoted trolls like yourself who offer no intellectual value to any debate/argument/discussion aside from your constant "kill whitey" or "racist!!!" mantras. You, my friend, are the tired shill on this board.

I can guarantee you that some people here on JCLIST are positively giddy at the prospect of some of those stores being forced under.

Agreed. To dovetail that, there are probably others on here already formulating a racial or other conspiracy component to this story to force out the lower end stores.

Let's get it all out of the way now for these one trick ponies:

"RACISTS!"
"RACISM!"
"Greedy 1%ers!"
"DISCRIMINATION!"
"CHRISTIE'S FAULT!"
"FULOP'S HIRES DID IT!"

That about covers most if not all of the idiots on here.

Yes, they do, genius. A panther is a black version of a leopard or a jaguar, depending on where it's from. When in proper light, you can see the spots:

This is the level on intelligence we're dealing with here, JCers List. It's roughly between a rock and celery. And I'm being generous.

It's the same old tired Christie/Bloomberg/Giuliani trick - tell people over and over about the "miracle" you wrought, use it as a springboard to the next thing. In a couple of years Fulop will be talking about how he "transformed" JC, ignoring the inevitable market forces that really made it happen. Nothing new goin' on here.

Except he can't even claim he transformed JC. Most of DTJC was built before he got here. So what, he added 4-5 new apartment buildings, really?

The rest of JC (GV/BL especially) is still a crime ridden shit hole. If he can show he made significant progress (which ill define as an increase in new business and residences, a reduction of crime and more efficient mass transit) across ALL of JC, then maybe he can hang a shingle on it.

Until then, the Cory Booker method (a la put enough shine on it to get me elected) will have to do to fool all of these useful idiots in Hudson County.

Nice try, but no. What people on here DO know, however, is that you live in a city you despise. You talk shit about every other part of JC to make you feel better about your ghetto palace out of some misguided jealousy for those who live better than you, all under the guise that "you chose" to live amongst filth. Your jealousy is astounding, and always entertaining to watch. Always.

But, keep playing that same old broken record, love. We all enjoy it, truly.

I could live in a luxurious palace in Africa, surrounded by crime and Ebola. Doesn't mean I'd want to live there.

Why would a man who is clearly a racist, a bigot and despise blacks want to live in Africa? LOL You guys make this too ez.

Buddy, the "racist" thing is getting old and tired. Give it up already. We know it's the easy out when you've failed miserably on an intellectual level. We know you hate all of JC except the ghetto palace you've built for yourself, and that's fine.

Again with this debate. Compared to the majority of other residences (in JC and elsewhere), luxury apartment buildings have a doorman, amenities like gyms, tennis courts, movie rooms etc. which some in DTJC/Newport have. Just because they don't have gold plated doorways, etc. doesn't mean it's luxury; there are degrees of it, you know.

Get over yourselves and your insecurities. There are "luxury" buildings in DTJC, so give it a rest. Just ignorant haters.

I believe there are those type of places on every block in GV and BL.

DTJC offers luxury condo/rental living
Heights offers more space for your dollar
Journal Square offers ethnic food a good investment
Newport offers unobstructed views of Manhattan

What exactly does BL and GV offer besides crime and more crime? I think it's totally right for the make it yours campaign to have most scenes filmed in the orderly neighborhoods of JC

Again with the "luxury" thing. Dude, does the word "luxury" denote that you have air conditioning? You throw that word around so loosely it has no meaning at all.

Wow, the backpeddling and double standard present here from some of you fools is astounding. Lord knows if (strawman alert Pebbles!!) Akil were a.) a white guy or b.) a republican, or c.) both; all of you clowns would have a field day until the jerk was fired. Don't believe me? See how many posts and ridiculous posts there are for something like Christie's Bridgegate non-scandal. Yes, it's a different topic, but the logic applies. He's a white Republican and some of you useful idiots dragged it on for hundreds and hundreds of posts when GASP, no evidence was found connecting him. Not a single shred. Yet some of you continue, because you guys "just know it" to be true! Akil should be fired because, again, under the logic of the crazy lefties on here, once a racist, always a racist. And Steve's skeletons need to be front and center in the news, not just his shiny marketing campaigns. Quote:

Where is this magical world of ease and innovation you speak of?? You may have just inspired some entrepreneurs! I like it!

What about a mobile carwash van parked outside a premised carwash offering an alternative; being the mere fact they come to you !!

What about a drug store van or mobile liquor van or simply look at your own trade or profession, and how would you react if you lost your job and the office closed down !

Note: A man in a van or a man at a stand will always have lower overheads and reduce his margins !

Also isn't it interesting that these 'farmers market and food vans' aren't anywhere to be seen in our lower income high density areas of JC drumming up business ?

Wait a second, your argument is invalid. If the price of a tent at grove is cheaper than a brick and mortar store, that makes perfect sense actually. The vendor provides everything except the physical space in which to operate. It's a piece of concrete. Of course it's going to cost significantly less!

Mind you, I like Two Boots and Food trucks. I'd even be in favor of letting food trucks occupy the dividing line down Newark Ave in the pedestrian plaza. I plan to fight to get that to happen too.

Sorry, but I value choice more than anything else.

If you cry racism (you in the broader sense, not you Pebble), then be consistent with the standards set. That's the point. People lose their shit when a white person says something even perceived as racist in the past, yet it's glazed over when it goes the other way. This is why no one takes issues of racism seriously anymore. Inconsistency. The boy who cried wolf syndrome etc...

I hate to say, because I know most people on here love it, but I didn't see the big deal with Razza. Way over priced for what you get and it was average at best.
