Uh no. JC should never be traded. Don' t give a shit how NYC feels about or cool it would make us look. Its things like this mentality that make me embarrassed to be from NJ

It is not the 6th borough and no one is calling it that, nor should be. That nickname is an embarrassment.

Hi Candace, it's great that the PATH management is soliciting your feedback! Hopefully, it'll go somewhere. I'm sure you are aware of these already as these are pretty self evident to most PATH riders :) thanks!

1. Increase in frequency of service on Sundays (the recent Saturday increase is great)
2. Train is already packed at Grove Station on weekday mornings, any way of running an empty train and opening it up at Grove?
3. Direct Manhattan-Jersey City train on weekends (no detour in Hoboken).
4. Wifi accessability?
5. Better ventilation- too stuffy and hot
6. Better enforcement of no eating/drinking or provide garbage bins in/around station.

Going to have to agree with Wifi accessability

Sure living in JC but don't have your hopes high. The city most likely will never be featured in it and if it is the writers will make to be a shitty place and how much she wants to get out. I bet money on it.

maybe we can try and improve our subway system? Attract more well known businesses? [quote]

And that is where it starts. JC needs to focus on building better infrastructure, especially PT, for the entire city if it ever expects to ease the traffic and parking issues. People need to look at the grand scheme of things as opposed to looking at the immediate changes. This city needs to bring back some railways that connected various parts of the city, not just build one more train into NYC.

This city stills feels segregated and feels small even though we have a quarter of a million people. The city needs to look at expanding our light rail or adding a new line. Obviously its a long shot but it would garner the best results for the whole city.

This is Jersey City. If you haven't noticed by now we don't share much in common with the rest of NJ. Limited parking has always been and will always be an issue here. Adding parking won't ease anything or fix any parking issues. its only a band-aid to the bigger picture. Whether anyone likes it or not JC will continue to grow. I'm not looking to argue with anyone on the internet who seems to have an agenda but "more parking" isn't the answer.

I do not look forward to the more condo/rentals without parking, saying people will go to NYC, in the meantime, they will have cars and park on streets causing the same problem as downtown. If the city truly cared about Journal Square, it would have monitored the new sidewalks on Newark Avenue that started in August. Just yesterday, I saw another sloppy job of concrete at the old Social Security site, opposite St. John's Church. Concrete is splashed on the building with footprints in the new sidewalk. From my point of view, it appears the city does not care about Journal Square. When will the city monitor new concrete being poured? After all, it is the city's job to monitor this. Permits were posted at the job site so who inspected?

Again with the fucking parking.

Not sure if I should be proud but I'm glad JC has low shooters. I think our homicide rate would be way higher is the criminals didn't have bad aims.

Riverview Park is right above the Hoboken Housing Projects. Not the best choice to be walking through.

The advantage of restoring the stairway in the location of the original 100 steps is that you can get to the 2nd Street Light Rail Station (not easily, as the cross-walks are across the tracks).

I walk by this nearly every day, and am happy to see it is very nearly open - lawn seeded, light posts in place. For other history buffs, here is a link to a site with photos of the historic 100 Steps: MaggieBlanck.com

I remember reading about this a while back. AS a Heights residents I so fucking wish they could bring something like this back. Even though Hoboken is so close it always feels like a drag to get to.

Tell them to take the PATH to J.sq. Tell them to go down Newark ave, make a left on tonnelle, then another left on the Blvd, get back on the train and head back over the Hudson.

But seriously tell them to pass through VVP for a bit before heading to your house.VVP is a great neighborhood to see.

Then I would suggest the Heights. You would have to take a bus to J.sq to get on the PATH though so your commute will be higher. But if you live in the southern portion of the Heights you can walk or bike to the station easily.

I'm calling it first. Steve Fulop will eventually pull a "Cory Booker" and begin campaigning for higher office at some point in his second term (assuming he is reelected).

The real question we should all keep in mind when that day comes is: has Mr. Fulop achieved anything of substance in transforming/improving Jersey City?

Murals, marathons and NYU speeches don't count.

So, realistically, expect to get Fulop's attention for the next 5, 5.5 years. After that, good luck!

And if he does so what? I think it is pretty obvious he wants to further his political career but I am more concerned with what he does here first. SO far he has made changes, whether you agree with them or not, it is more than what Healy did in all his 8 years.

We won't get results of all this until at least next year so I'll wait to criticize him until then. Personally I think this mural project is a good idea. After having traveled to Montreal last year and walking around the city and seeing the countless murals scattered throughout, it definitely left a positive impression on me and can't wait to go back. That is exactly what this project is setting out to do.

This city has long endured a negative image that has been hard to shake off and to bring more people in, we need to get away from that image. I already have brought people to this city and one of the things they mention is how they love the arts here and can't wait to come back. Obviously this won't be the catalyst that propels the city forward but every little bit helps. I do agree with Boggiano, however, that the city should have done this at a later time.

Do not stay at the hotels on Tonelle ave in JC. Move a little up to North Bergen at least. Also what is your price range and what exactly are your main concerns? No one can give you an exact location and just tell you of an apartment for rent.
