I don't think you're right at all. Grab your news from more than a single source, or read the twitter links at the bottom of your source. Having some knowledge of comic books also helps, but if racism is your thing then I doubt you'll see reason. This Ms. Marvel has entered the New York Times Graphic Novel/Short Story best-seller list at #4 or better with every trade paperback release.

The new Ms. Marvel series is pretty great. What is killing Marvel's sales is a rush of new "event" storylines -- Crossover or event storylines used to happen once every couple of years, but in the last few years Marvel has had one "event" after another. These events crossover a handful of comics into a joined storyline - in the beginning it was novelty, but more recently it's a way to sell more comics. They take a single main story arc and cross it over into 4 or more core character's stories. In order to see what happens with the single character you care about you now have to read 4 other books. At $5 an issue the costs really add up. If you want to read everything about Ms. Marvel outside of just the core published 12 issues, you'd have to buy close to 100 other comics just to see what she's been up to (Secret Wars, Civil War II, Inhumans, The All-New Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, S.H.I.E.L.D...the list really goes on).

Long story short, don't use your racism to cover up shitty sales tactics - fans have no issue with the multicultural aspect of the new Marvel characters, they have issues having to buy a thousand issues at $5 a pop to keep up with the disaster that is Marvel's multiverse and never-ending cross-over events. The stories have never been better, but they are all over the place. However, if you're going to be racist go pick up a copy of Captain America: Steve Rogers as Captain America is now a Nazi, you may find things to your liking there.

You can prattle on about "racism" all you want. Does it make you feel better? Like a virtuous person?

Now that you've gotten that ignorant rant out of the way, allow me to bring you back to reality.

Marvel's Vice President of sales is quoted in the article. Unlike you, he actually knows what he's talking about. Let's see what he has to say about how fans react to this forced diversity garbage:

?What we heard was that people didn?t want any more diversity. They didn?t want female characters out there. That?s what we heard, whether we believe that or not.

?We saw the sales of any character that was diverse, any character that was new, our female characters, anything that was not a core Marvel character, people were turning their nose up against," he said.

But it is worth mentioning Hillary since she was very much in favor of the H1B program, and "progressives" here can't seem to bring themselves to say anything good about Trump.

See the guy I replied to as a perfect example. Even when Trump does something he agrees with, he refuses to acknowledge it and engages in bizarre mental gymnastics to spin it as a negative.

And no, taking away these visas will not save the coal miners and bring back factories. These are predominantly for tech jobs. On principle I think the visa program needs to be scaled back as there are signs of abuse but there is no putting it back in the bottle. Too much money is being made by the people who pay large sums of campaign donations. So the bottom line is, the Trump voter gets virtually nothing out of this except maybe piss off a few Wall Street folks.

Also, if Trump wants us to 'buy American' maybe he should tell his voters to stop frequenting Walmart? That should go over really well.

Did you seriously take an action that you agree with (cracking down on H1B abuse) and try to spin it as some anti-Trump comment?

Especially when you know that Hillary would have only expanded the H1B program and wouldn't have dreamed cracking down on any abuse? Too rich. Trump could save kids from a burning orphanage, and there'd be nothing but criticism from the likes of you.

Another great move by President Trump, looking out for American workers as always.

And if Hillary won, you wouldn't see this in a million years. She'd probably expand the H1B program, so her corporate donors can make even more money by screwing over American workers.

A local neighborhood watch group said the woman saw one of the suspects cutting through her property while fleeing police. She went outside and with help from her husband tackled one of the suspects until police handcuffed him.

One of the neighborhood watch members, who asked not to be identified, said he hopes the work watch groups do can encourage others to work together to help curb crime.

"At the end of the day it proves if you do it the right way, you can get results," he said."

I bet both sides will make an example out of this neighborhood watch guy who tackled one of the suspects.

I'm sure a black gang was behind the initial shootings, and I bet they will retaliate against this neighborhood watch member. They will want to send a message to anyone else who would think of cooperating with the police. So I hope the police really protect these people and make sure that doesn't happen, setting the example that cooperation will lead to good things.

I've seen this pattern for at least 20 years.

Government workers retire and receive a shitload of sicktime and benefits, paid in a big lump sum.

There's all sorts of outrage and calls to do something, so this waste never happens again.

Then absolutely nothing gets done.

The cycle then starts again the next time people receive a big payout.

Both groups only seem concerned with the short term, and don't appear to care about the other. The Path will probably be nightmarishly overcrowded once all the JSQ developments are completed. Though, in fairness, NYC appears to be run in a similar way.

It's about priorities. Mandating that all city buildings have gender neutral bathrooms is grandstanding, a complete waste of money, and accomplishes absolutely nothing.

That money would be much better spent trying to save this school, and to help the underprivileged youth make something of themselves and stay off the streets. And as I said, the least the guy could do is try and gin up support for fundraising.

It's the difference between caring about looking good vs. actually doing good.

I'm the one who posted that. It remains true.

Many liberals absolutely hate Trump for two reasons. First, it is a way to avoid admitting to themselves that they were totally 100% wrong about Trump having zero chance of winning. They said this over and over again for months. Because their brains can't process how wrong and stupid they were, as a defense mechanism, they have increased rage towards Trump. They also blame other Americans for making them look stupid (dishonestly claiming it's actually the others who are dumb).

Second, their hatred stems from pure emotion, not rationality. Trump does indeed support more liberal positions than any Republican president in modern history, but because they've already been calling him Hitler and a bigoted xenophobic rapist for months if not years, they're too far down the rabbit hole to turn back now.

They are a lost cause and they aren't worth even reaching out to. Instead, reach out to the moderates, who are more connected with reality.
