amen LoKo498. Too bad there aren't public hangings. I was born in a country where peoples hands are cut off for far lesser crimes. This guy needs to die.

user1111 You weren't here when the first condos went up for sale downtown. You aren't from here, Mr. New York I bet you are a trust fund white boy whose parents either own the place where you live or still help you pay your rent. You are a dope. You said you waited for an hour for a freaking sandwich at that bakery in another post....poor baby didn't have his Ipad either whilst he was waiting. Who waits for an hour for a sandwich when no one else is in the restaurant? haha. Keep on making the hood sound liveable so your folks get their monies worth for their investment.

Below is from the website. What a load of crap. The neighborhood is a total gang ridden shi*hole. Who buys because some famous person came from the area, a moron that's who. Community retail vendors? What the hell is that? IS that relator speak for 99 cent stores?

Are these places meant for low-income folks,ie. folks on welfare? Looks like you can only buy.

"Jackson Hill is a historic neighborhood in the City of Jersey City, starting at Communipaw Avenue Jackson Hill encompasses all of Martin Luther King Drive up to McAdoo Avenue from Bergen Avenue to Garfield Avenue. MLK Drive is the traditional main street of the The Hill neighborhood. The Hill boasts several celebrities born in this neighborhood including Flip Wilson, Kool of Kool and the Gang, Derek Luke (Sparkle & Captain America) and Malcolm Jamal Warner (Cosby Show). The Hill has a number of Jersey City?s best preserved Victorian row homes, with Madison Ave and the area around St. Pat?s displaying many fine examples. Martin Luther King Drive, which begins at Communipaw Avenue and ends at McAdoo Ave., is the center and heart of the community. The Bethune Community Center, an Agency project, has become an important part of the community. MLK Drive is an active redevelopment zone, with many real estate, neighborhood plans and Jackson Hill SID in place. The MLK Drive Hub Shopping Center is the ?Town Center? of MLK Drive hosting festivals, live concerts and soon community retail vendors. The community is also served by the MLK light rail stop serving the greater Hill community that connects to Hoboken, Newport Center and Exchange Place Path stations for NYC.

Yes, Craigslist. Hell, I have a huge 2 bedroom with 2 living rooms, washer/dryer in the bathroom and a nice backyard for 1500. I'm 2 blocks from Hamilton Park.

The name of the moron who makes the stupid chalk circles, triangles and other chalk drawing shi* name is Norm Kirby. He currently has an art show up at LITM. Worst freaking excuse for an art show I have ever seen. I have had to take his god***m chalk shi* off my building several times and am sick of it. Go find an abandoned building or a piece of paper to draw on, moron. I love street and graffiti art, btw, but the circles are just dumb. Jersey City is full of so many crap artists, and Norm is just one of many.

Ron English has a house and a studio in JC, but he also has a place in Beacon, NY and is from Dallas, TX. I guess he is a JC artist.

Seagull, Is this the image you are speaking of?

It's an art piece by the local artist Dylan Egon.

I have been a frequent visitor to this bar for the past 6 years that I have lived in JC. I met my best friend here, and the current owners were long time patrons of the bar before they bought it. They truly love JC, and are very good to their patrons. It's the kind of place where they call you to make sure you got home ok, and put you in a cab or find someone sober to get you home if you had too much to drink. Instead of being passive aggressive and bitching anonymously on here, how about giving them a call 201.839.5604, or sending them a message on their FB page to voice your concerns about their food. I am sure they would be willing to listen and to correct any mistakes that have been made.

9C has a very well establish client base, and if you were unhappy with your food and didn't say anything, then that is on you. No one will miss you if you don't come back...trust me on this.

The music is not loud (you sure can't say that for any other bar in the neighborhood...WS, Lucky's) they have good drink specials and they are willing to put anything on the tv you might want to watch. Oh ya, and they shovel their sidewalk in a better than timely manner.

BTW, today is not only the owners 20th anniversary together, but also their wedding day. Congrats Tony and Greg.
