I nominate this hate-filled thread to be shut down. This thread has long since derailed, and all that's left are the usual cast of characters posting their hate back and forth. Seriously webmaster, shut this shit down.

Why don't we not derail this thread. Start a new "Hoboken vs. Jersey City pissing contest" or keep it about new development inquiries and answers.

I believe someone in a previous post mentioned this space was going to be a bakery.

That is a GREAT idea.

An independent theatre would be grand, but I don't think the Powerhouse is having progress at all, and it wouldn't be a good location for one anyway. Time to just knock it down and put up another 30 story tower.

I think the whole idea of a casino being built in JC is starting to catch on! Anyone else notice the group of about seven people playing craps out in front of Moe's Deli? Money being laid down in the street and all! lol

I wonder why the developers hired a 24/7 security guard for the premises? I guess they were having problems with theft?

Official List of Whole Foods Stores in Development

JC is not mentioned at all, but there are several new stores slated for NJ. And, there is one going in at Bryant Park.

I just read today that Uber will be offering a car share program in certain cities while they test it out, and you will be able to split the fare if you and your Uber car match are going to the same area. I bet that Uber will be busy for people trying to get back to JC during those late weekend nights.

There's also a vacant spot near the cigar shop on Grove (across from Orale). I think it used to be a Polish deli/diner. I hope it's not another pizza place!!!!

It was meant on the Sava Polish diner thread that "the space was being reopened by one of the principals of Buon Appetito". I'm not sure if this means that Buon Appetito is moving back to Grove Street, or if it's a new restuarant that is being opened.

They had signs up previously stating it was going to be brick oven pizza

I was wondering about this place too. I noticed the architects for the renovation are http://agenciegroup.com

They have an impressive portfolio, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

The facade has a brick arch into which the door is set - pretty hokey. What we really need is a stroller garage on restaurant row and/or a dinner time day care (evening care?) center.

Probably just another pizza place!
