Repaving of Newark Ave.

So walking to work this morning, i got to see the construction guys bulldoze the tree that was standing outside OX. It made me notice that from there to grove, there is only one pathetic little tree outside Skinners.

Does anyone know if there is any plan to maybe plant more trees in that stretch, because when summer finally kicks in, that sidewalk and stretch of pavement will be sweltering? Not to mention that trees are attractive and going green is kewl.

i thought maybe the military had discovered that some mexican pigs, infected with the swine flu, had escaped from the cargo hold of the plane. That's more believable than the 'training exercise' or 'photo op'.

Fair enough. To be honest that apartment is probably in slightly better condition than when i moved in, because i installed blinds and there weren't any when i moved in. I was only there for a year and even spent 3 hours cleaning before i moved out so he couldn't even find anything at all to claim as damage.

Anyways, what's to be expected from a L.Lord who only takes cash or money orders, and sneaks into my apartment when i'm not home. Ugh...this is just going to an annoying, uneccessary demand for what is mine.

The apartment was exactly the same as when i moved out ( i was only there for a year). Now my previous landlord has completely ignored my calls and letters.

What's the next step? Small claims court? Where do i even begin with that?

No milk and not 24 hours, but that Fried Chicken place on Newark (umm..between Jersey and Coles, i think) is open pretty late.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the wolfpacks but it does relate to the annoying kids.

There was a time i was on the path train and there was this kid sitting opposite me. He can't have been over 16. He proceeds to unroll his skull cap over his face and it had the eyes and mouth cut out of it. He then takes out a gun which i only realize a couple of seconds later is actually fake. He appears to keep cocking it keeping it slightly hidden from view. Everyone else on the train was half asleep and didn't notice what was going on, but within those few seconds before i realized it was fake, i had considered doing some serious damage to him.

If anyone had reacted and say knocked that kid unconcious (or a cop shot him), i bet his mother would be on the 10'oclock news saying what a good kid he is, how he had never done anything wrong and this is some senseless adult who should be ashamed of themselves.
