Don't know what has happened to Gino's lately, but their grandma pie has changed, and that's not a good thing.

It's either the sauce (not as sweet as it once was) or they aren't oiling up the pans with enough olive oil, hence making the crust extremely dry.

Will Healy actually fire Comey and all of his chins? Can he be replaced with someone that actually looks like they care about JC?

I think this is a smoke and mirrors show. I see more cops downtown and near the mall than anywhere else in JC - where police are badly needed.

Target and Path Mark has supplies for cheap(er).

Don't even get me started on Canis Minor. Great selection, but the grooming service is atrocious.

Really? How nice! I wonder if we could get Fios in here. This Gold Coast service is one step above dial-up, rabbit ears, and two cans connected with a string.

What exactly is this Mickey Mouse operation? Does anyone outside of Liberty Harbor actually subscribe to this service?

I just called Verizon Fios and the operator said it looks like the neighborhood is wired but can't pull up the streets. Anyone have Fios in the VVP area? If so, how come LH residents can't get in on the HD fun?

Grand Street is extremely dangerous, and crossing it requires brass balls.

It's great that the cops are finally pulling over those that feel the need to drive like they're starring in the Slow and the Delirious.

I really don't know how anyone can speed in a pedestrian heavy city. I keep it at the posted speed limit while I get passed by the frequent douche bag.

I would be very careful. There are cameras everywhere and security does watch for people parking and just walking away.

I've seen a few cars get yanked out of here on the back of a tow truck.

Nope, we will tow you. Get a parking permit and save yourself the aggravation because the LH cameras look for anyone parking then walking across Grand.

LOL I live right across the street from the place and I am not going anywhere. Just making an observation that birds of a feather... Also, isn't "affluent" and "hipster" used together a little cliche? All the true hipsters I know are far from affluent.

So much for broadening ones cultural horizons.

I will give Taqueria one more shot tomorrow night and here is how I will do it:

1. Put some Death Cab on my iPod

2. Wear a ratty t-shirt with some catchy slogan or phrase from the 80's.

3. Buy a pair of dark rimmed glasses.

4. Talk about how ironic everything is in that creepy hipster kinda way.

5. Snicker at the house "rules" about burrito size, no sour cream and lack of guac, and then make fun of anyone who dares criticize said "rules".

6. Sport some skinny jeans with a wallet chain.

7. Grow a scraggly beard.

8. Demand orange cheese.

9. Wash my hands before I eat the food, then wash them again after I finish.

Good old PSE&G. We started unplugging everything when not in use. 67 dollars for a 2 bed/2 bath. The utilities can go choke on it with the prices they're charging.

The issue with Taqueria is for the price, why skimp? I've been to LA many times, San Diego, many times, and had the opportunity to dine from taco trucks, and little stands in both cities. The big difference between them and Taqueria is that out in CA, they LOAD up the tacos, enchilada's, etc...

I find the "pillow size burritos" line on the menu a tad arrogant and a little obnoxious.

To each his/her own, I guess.

Based on the recommendations for El Aguila, we took a short drive down there for lunch today. Dear God that place is so kick ass! The homemade salsa to start everything off was good! Spicy, but good.

The tacos were really good and the enchiladas were MASSIVE! They were served with rice, beans, a ton of cheese, and gigantic slices of avocado. All that for 9 dollars.

We then were the ultimate fat kids and went to this little ice cream parlor on 41st and Broadway. Great shakes and sugar free ice cream!

We will be going back to El Aguila. Excellent and authentic Mexican.

It's not really amazing food. This is what cracks me up about this area! I have never been to so many mediocre and downright awful restaurants where people rave about how great they are.

Either they never had good food, or they are trying to convince themselves that this is as good as it gets. We have friends from Hoboken that were mortified when we took them up to (get ready to gasp) THE HEIGHTS (eek!!) for Italian food! Oh how we didn't get killed, carjacked, or offered crack! (sarcasm).

Come on people, don't be afraid to leave the friendly confines of downtown for good (insert ethnic dish here). Life's too short to eat that garbage known as Taqueria.

I actually don't mind the PathMark and do a lot of my shopping there due to some fantastic sales and the Old Colony Cleaners with their inexpensive prices.

My issue is with the packs of feral kids that roam the parking lot just begging to get into trouble. I never in my life have seen kids act out as badly as these little thugs in training. Where are the parents?

You know it\'s bad when an elderly woman gets yelled at and called a "f'ing b***h" for no reason, and when three hoodlums start insulting a female cashier with a hormone imbalance (facial hair). Their behavior is a reflection of their home life, and that is just pathetic.

This one of the few times I support China's one child per family law.

What a great little place and exceptionally clean! I have to bring the GF with me next time.

The girlfriend and I ventured out to Vinnies tonight since a lot of you guys seemed to like it. The Sicilian was excellent, and the Neopolitian was so so.

Not a bad pie, and it sure beats any of the crap they serve in Hoboken - for way less money.
