Does anyone have a vehicle immobilizer device on thier car? I have one, so stealing the car itself is very difficult and I was thinking, "why not just leave the car unlocked....there isn't anything in there anyhow?" anyone ever do that?

Well, it turns out that each child in the public schools in JC has been able to go to the museum an unlimited number of times for free. I'll paste the quote from the website here:


Abbott Family Pass

All students who attend public schools in New Jersey?s 31 Abbott school districts are eligible for a free Family Pass.

The Family Pass provides each student, and up to three guests (who must include one adult), unlimited free visits to Liberty Science Center. The Family Pass is also good for free parking and discounted theater tickets.

Family Passes are mailed to each school in October and are valid through June 2009.

And since the State is giving control of the district back to the school board, does that mean that we are no longer an Abbott district.?

just a quick update, sorry to bore everyone w/ this incident, but I still can't believe how things aren't done correctly... so, i pick up a copy of my police report this week and notice that there weren't any tickets issued on the report... i call of the PD, get transferred around to different apartments in order to confirm that no tickets were issued... it's stated clearly on the police report that the 2nd driver (the driver that hit my car) fled the scene of the accident... you would think that she would be charged with a hit and run or leaving the scene of an accident, since it is clearly written on the report... but no, i had to go to JC Municipal court on Summit in order to file a complaint... you would figure the officer would've issued the report...

the lady i spoke to at the court was even surprised that the officer didn't issue a ticket...

They really are just trying to make a living, and I'm sure they dont' make a whole lot of money. I used to work in a mall (though not at a kiosk) for $7.50 an hour. We had to greet every person who came in and wait two minutes and then ask if they needed help. I followed the rules because if you didn't and the wrong person walked in (a secret shopper), it could cost you your raise on the next go-around. I appreciated the people who were polite and knew I was just doing my job, trying to get by.

Oh, and if you think it's a horrid experience to be stopped every day on your way to the PATH, trying putting yourself in their shoes and having to go through the same song and dance with every person who walks by. Who knows, maybe they work on commission.

It was not just any tribute band, it was a "Grateful Dead" tribute band. Does the man have NO shame, or taste? Peeing off the balcony is awesome but not awesome enough to cancel out attending a Grateful Dead show.
