Wouldn't 40 hours be considered full time? Is the range of hours from 25 - 40 variable from week to week? Thanks.

25% down v. cash. No closing risk in cash.

Dixon bought for cash at ask price or higher around Van Vorst park and then spent thousands on renovations.

The grilled cheese was really delicious but the bison sloppy joe was surprisingly underseasoned. A couple near us had ordered the same thing and said that exact same thing. The beer menu was a bit short but I expect that will grow.

We did enjoy the atmosphere, particularly the beautiful ceiling.

PATH installed 8 6x5 billboards permanently affixed to the middle of the Grove station. Unbelievable taking up so much space on an already crowded platform not to mention the reduced space for their two year elevator project. PATH "Tear down this wall !"

Isn't that where the second elevator is going to the track level?

I don't know the science of sound but the noise from my backyard is actually louder on the 4th floor than on street level. What sounds like normal conversation from one yard to another gets increasingly louder as it rises. Perhaps the sound echoes off all the other buildings in the back?

No, it's a problem. And whether Prato can manage the backyard noise, the next tenant may not or may not care.

Re: Take your ID to the polls

The problem with voter id laws exists in states that require very specific kinds of id and access to the source of the id is limited, either by hours of operation of the facility (see Alabama) or distance (think Texas). If a number of different kind of id were acceptable, a lot of the identified problems go away.

The facts are there are elderly or disabled people who can?t get to the places that issue IDs; there are people who can?t access their birth certificates because the documents no longer exist; there are people who don?t have drivers licenses because they can?t afford or just don't own a car.

Please read this piece, which provides two specific cases where, though no fault of their own, eligible voters cannot get valid voter IDs:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/20/us/ ... battles.html?ref=politics

This piece describes how the Wisconsin voter ID requirements will compel an 84-year-old woman who has been voting for 63 years to pay a fee for a birth certificate and an additional fee to correct a misspelling on her birth record. Although the story may exaggerate when it says the woman could end up paying $200, the point is this: why should she have to pay anything at all?

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2011 ... ay-200-to-get-a-voter-id/

Simply saying, as so many of you have, that ID cards are a fact of life does not make it so. It may be true for you and everyone you know, but studies and specific cases show that some people who have every right to vote will be disenfranchised by these voter ID laws, and for some people, they impose an unfair financial burden.

In the absence of a question of fraud, a comparison of signatures should be sufficient. That being said, I'm guessing that every volunteer here who asked for id did it in order to expedite looking up the name.

I try to vote in every election, no matter what month. I do my best to stay informed in order to have a real choice for each line. That being said, every time I vote in May, I have thought this is really stupid. Instead of complaining about low voter turnout in these off month elections, let's combine them all.

If in fact this move benefits one particular elected official in a possible bid for higher office, it's worth it anyway. I am not persuaded that the electorate cannot differentiate between federal, state and local candidates. And if they are confused, then having two or more separate election days isn't going to help them.

My family and I went often in the early days. We had a kickstarter dinner that we still talk about. The kitchen kept bringing out more dishes to taste and my boys could not stop giggling because they were enjoying the food so much. People loved stopping in at Jersey Wines and rolling down the street for dinner. They had LINES to get a table.

I can understand that they needed to be able to sell wine because that's where the money is and they eventually got a decent selection. And we kept going. When my husband had an evening commitment, I would sit at the bar and chat with the waiters. It was a good place to eat solo.

But the tasting menu was just not viable for Jersey City. Spending $75 when all I wanted was a bowl of their great pasta -- and they never posted an a la carte bar menu -- was just a nonstarter. I never went back.

My second one was an emergency C-section (also easy pregnancy with no hint of trouble). My son is alive because my OB's quick action and the fabulous NICU team at Cornell- NY Hospital. It's worth the trip. My doc, who delivered both my children, is on 5th Avenue at 75th and I won't switch until he retires.

If that's your measure, then how do you rate McDonald's?

Tried it twice, will never return. Osteria next door, on the other hand, is high on my list. Amazing they're under the same roof.
