Re: Salon X

Salon X is open but I have only seen like 3 people getting there hair cut. I looked at the prices...a woman's haircut starts at $60 for short hair. I think a men's haircut starts at $30. Highlights $85 and up. I usually pay like 40 for a haircut...I think their prices are asking a little too much.

The Hard Grove is horrible. The servers and bartenders are sooo rude. They act like you are bothering them.

The sign in Newport Tower said that they are trying to improve the appearance of their building...seems like a lot of work for just that though!

You are totally right GW. Bon Jovi had some seriously corny stage moves going on. I don't know who told him he could dance. He even had maracas (sp?) at one point with a flaming red shirt...haaa!!

The Bon Jovi concert was great! They looked and sounded amazing. I think Riche Sambora sounded even better than Jon Bon Jovi when he sang I'll be There for You...lol

Beautiful night too and well organized!

The white shirts are not representing inmates! It's a style..just like when I was in high school it was cool to wear 3 pairs of different colored socks. Does it look stupid, yes! But I didn't think so when I was that age. Gang colors to watch out for are pink, red, blue...white shirts are just a fad! PEOPLE RELAX! And yes, they are inexpensive and obviously JC students cannot afford Lacoste! DUH

I just saw some mangy looking guy walking down 7th Streeet across from the Police Department with a BJs cart. He was looking in everyone's garbage and if he found something he liked, he would put it in his cart...

I am a teacher, and if I saw a naked 2 year old child about to cross the street, I would do something immediately. I would stop my car, grab the kid, and call 911. I think people should be liable for NOT doing anything.

In all seriousness...the sign only says "PARKED over 2 hours". If you drive your car around the block and go to another store, it has not been PARKED for 2 hours. I think that what the JC Parking Authority does is highly illegal.

JHS-

You need a copy of your lease and a notarized letter from you stating that he lives with you (not sure if you need one if you are with him) ...They will give him a 3 week temporary permit.
