Didn't this guy used to hang out on Jersey Ave? I thought I saw some King Megs graffiti on the Gazebo at Hamilton Park.

I couldn't believe that I heard those shots, from Monmouth streets. Downtown is like a war zone sometimes.

Downtown Jersey City is also very dangerous, I saw a kid get mugged and punched in the face the other day on Newark. I was in the bus, so I was powerless to stop them, because we were driving away.

The Guardian Angels are too busy protecting Marco and Pepe customers to go after 'Wolf Packs'.

Who came up with this term "Wolf Pack'?

FAB, we're talking about the dog run in Van Vorst Park, not an open-air crack market.

A COMMUNITY ---is created by people talking to one another, not calling the cops at the drop of a hat. I think we should try telling people "Yo, keep it down" or "Dude, you know they're going to call the cops if you have your dog here at this time of night"

Always preface it with a 'Dude', or 'Excuse me" or 'Hey bro"

I for one , do not want cops coming around the park all the time telling me to leave because it's 11:01PM. I don't like living in a police state.

Also, I want to say the Mr. X's situation is different, if you're home in your underwear you're not going to go out to yell at people in a public park. If he wants to just pick up the phone, I can understand that.

The park is supposed to close at 10pm.

Why doesn't someone come and lock up the park at 11 p.m and open it at, say, 6 a.m.?

If the issue is the homeless people who live there, either leave one gate open for them or just tell them that, if they want to sleep there after 11 ap.m., they have to stay in the park till 6 a.m. Maybe put in a couple of emergency phones in the park so they can call the police if there are any problems.

Are you talking about the Dog-run or the whole park? THAT WOULD SUCK IF THEY LOCK THE PARK AT NIGHT.

Anyway, there aren't fences around it now, PLEASE PEOPLE LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!

If this dog-run and you inconsiderate dog-owners result in the park being closed late-night, prepare for the WRATH OF KINDELAN.

Sometimes, when I come home late at night, I enjoy a stroll through the park or even sit on the bench with my girl and talk, laugh and kiss, IF YOU YUPPY BASTARD, DOG-OWNING RETARDS make it so that a cop comes around and hassles me (or worse a closed gate) it is on and popping, just so you know.

I should not be prohibited from a quiet stroll or a tender moment because you treat your dogs like spoiled little children, WHICH THEY ARE NOT!!!!!!!

Before anyone jumps on the asset forfeiture bandwagon, I encourage you to educate yourselves by reading the following articles. I also challenge anyone to find a reputable and credible study that shows that asset forfeiture leads to less illegal drug crime or prostitution.

If you think it's bad here check out what the cops are doing in Chicago. WARNING THIS VIDEO SHOWS EXTREME VIOLENCE. A big fat ass cop beats up a female bartender, but she was okay, no serious injuries.

Traditionally, they were the 'muscle.' They would go around breaking thumbs and busting knee caps.

I for one am so happy and relieved that they got rid of those unsightly trees. Oh my! With the leaves changing and falling all over the place in the fall, and the buds and pollen in the spring, every season brought another nightmare! There are several on my block that I do hope the city will remove as quickly as possible! They block the facade of my brownstone! Oh well, what is one to do but grin and bear it I suppose. Toodles!

No for real, some people kill trees because their roots go into the sewer lines.

Van Vorst Park---Dog Run

Just can't stay away

First let me say that I am a dog lover. My girlfriend is also a dog lover who is currently mourning the loss of her beloved mutt. But we both think the dog run in VVP is WAY TOO BIG for the park that it occupies. The thing is about the same size as the one in Washington Square Park in the city but WSP is a much bigger park. You took out the nice grass and picnic tables to put in this monstrosity???

Don't get me wrong if the community wants a dog-run--fine but aesthetically doesn't everyone see that this dog run dominates terribly the space that it is in? I think it could have been about half the size.
