I've been taking the kickboxing classes on & off for the past two years now. One of the best places around. The instructors (when the usual ones around) are very good & the cost is around 70/month range.

Good luck!

I use Regina's Maids. About $85 for them to clean our (pretty large) 3 bedroom apartment. They do a decent job, no complaints.

Thanks for the tips, guys.

I saw Dr. Acosta at the place on West Side Avenue last weekend, and I thought she was pretty helpful. Ended up getting my guy rabies & distemper vaccines, and also some cream for his runny eye. Price wasn't bad (about 100 bucks total w/ the 15% internet discount).

We pay about $80 each time our cleaning service comes by. I'm not sure of the square footage, but it's two floors, three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen (no living room). They provide most of their own cleaning supplies, but they do seem to use a lot of our paper towels!

We don't tip every month, just for the holidays.

Re: Payroll taxes for Jc resident working in NYC

I work in the city & I just have NY State taxes taken out of my paycheck (in additional to fed, ss, & med of course). It balances out & I usually don't end up owing anything to NJ (or if I do, it's very little). It may depend on your tax bracket whether or not you owe NJ anything, but you should only have NY state being taken out of your check.

I think there's another thread on this somwhere.

Not sure about the $100 resident tax, you should probably be refunded but not sure how.

Is the general consensus here still that the animal hospital on West Side is better than the place downtown on 1st st?

I'm adopting a cat, & bringing him home in about two weeks. He's already neutered & up to date on shots, I would just like to bring him in to make sure he's not sick, & also to discuss his care with someone (he'll be my first cat).

Also, I was just going to take a cab from downtown to the animal hospital (no car). I'm unfamiliar with the West Side Ave area - will I be able to find a cab home on the street or will I need to call one in advance?

Thanks for any help, I'm also open to other close by vet options, if you have another place to recomend. Also, if anyone knows of any good websites (or other resources) on cat care, let me know!

Thanks :)
