that's really sad.. there's a pretty established homeless community in that area, especially in the abandoned warehouses around there. i've seen people in that lot a few times too.

Jersey City actually has the second highest rate of HIV infection in the entire country.
The national average for injection-linked cases is about 31%; in New Jersey it is 52%. I think if HIV was spread through dirty martini glasses, this wouldn't be an issue.

The security guard was sleeping in his car in the alley between 111 and the Morgan Industrial building. Looks like one half of the building is almost completely demolished, the other half is in the process of being gutted.
Thanks Scottacus.. I only played around with the white balancing (around 2750?K). Other than that they are straight off the camera.

Is the JCList motto "we don't know how google works" or what?
Less than three minutes into a search, we find:
This: "New Jersey has a 6% state sales tax. This is split as 3% for the State, and 3% for the municipality. Several municipalities, such as Elizabeth, Jersey City, and Mount Holly do not collect the city portion of the sales tax (as an incentive to lure shoppers), resulting in an effective 3% sales tax rate."
In addition, " UEZ Member retailers are allowed to charge 3 percent sales tax, which they are able to announce in their advertisements. All member businesses are also allowed to make purchases that are utilized for their business at their business tax-free. Non-retailers are able to apply for tax credits for new hires, as well as unemployment insurance-based awards.
So, it depends on the whether or not the retailer chooses to participate in the City Urban Enterprise Zone program, which is free.
come on people..

What intersection are you referring to, if I may ask? Are you sure there are drug deals going on? Usually dealers run solo, not in large obvious crowds.
Sorry on everyone's behalf for the poor attitudes, but your apparent pissy-pants-scared-of-the-local-kids-cuz-school's-out paranoia is kind of ruining it for the rest of us, you know?

Not to skip over piss-poor journalism and my personal dismay at having to endure force-fed advertisements wherever I go these days, but I hear the MTA is reviewing similar ad campaigns in their tunnels as well.
