Re: Liberty Marathon and Half Marathon

I ran the half marathon just after 9/11 and it went off without a hitch. Just a slight reroute even as LSP was still mostly closed. I've since cut back in distance. There's a 5K on 6/9 for charity. You can register at www.TackleSickleCell.org

This is the only spot I've seen it. Wonder if the rest will wear out eventually. I'm sure we'll see more like with potholes. Even more curious to see if they get rebuilt.

Harrison needs to step up and build a firehouse. A situation like this could've been averted with a more timely response. I saw a video of the backdraft explosion and it was nasty. Godspeed to those injured.

She once got me as I went to pick up laundry. The transaction was about 2 minutes and I checked for her first. She must've been hiding out in a local store.

Heads up on the new chef in Marco's. Last week had a great Italian wedding soup, and string bean salad. Just now it was the buffalo chicken stromboli. Outstanding! They're shaking up the menu with a different unique specials list daily. Get some.

My parent have Aetna and they use the Pavonia Medical Group. Large office with plenty of overlapping coverages and access to specialties.

Family run business for over 20yrs. Just had the homemade raviolis at lunchtime. Dawn and Debbie are your bartenders tonight. Ask Dawn about her crumbcakes.

In Dickinson HS Mike Rooney runs an open league from 6-9pm on weekdays. This is the court inside the main buliding, not the annex. You can just show up even without a team.

No to all the "?" Hopscotch does have 2 but there is no bull line and you have to walk around a table to retrieve darts on the right one.

Head down from Palisades Ave to Hoboken Ave. Stay to your extreme left, and then right as you make left onto HA. You are travelling against traffic but the street is wide. Once in Boken stay as far west or east(depending on your destination on 14th) as possible.

I dropped by for a quick drink saturday afternoon. They were playing some mello hippie music. Can't get any more laid-back than that but let's face it, that's not gonna attract a night-time crowd. I was probably the only one in the crowd who recognized the NRPS tune coming from the speakers. It was great to hear but I realize they're not rolling that out for prime time. Let's just hope they can find a happy medium to keep out the chest thumpers.

I don't recall dealing with the gentleman, but the lady who works there is very friendly. I only used their printer on a couple ocasions to download game/concert tickets, as mine is broken and am in no rush to fix/replace it. Prices were reasonable too.
