What do you use to stream Netflix and Hulu? How does the picture look? I've been wondering how it would look on my 50" plasma.

We have a 32" LCD and use wii and xbox, or plug the laptop straight into the tv with just an hdmi cable, but they now make blu ray players and other devices you can stream content directly through. whichever way you do it it's very seamless.

scary stuff.

Just wanted to share a technique I use: I have a main checking account which I have linked to a secondary checking account. Every month $x00 is transferred from the main checking account to my secondary checking account.

I ONLY use the debit card for the secondary account.

The primary purpose for this structure is to force me to stay within budget ($x00), but the additional benefit is security: If anyone gets my debit card, they only have access to a few bucks.

i do something similar but i keep all of my money in savings and just transfer a little at a time each week into checking to use as spending money. someone tried using my card in georgia and only got away with about 10 dollars worth of chinese food before their next transaction was declined and i got a phone call from the bank.

Their food is ok, but I'm too tired of their service to ever go back. I came in on a Tuesday night in the summer while it was dead. There were 3 waitresses leaning against the bar, I stood by the door said I wanted an outside table, one of them said they'll be right there to give us menus. 15 minutes later I looked in to see them still leaning against the bar and waived goodbye to them while they asked why I was leaving. Then got delicious food at wild fusion in a matter of minutes.

I'm almost mail free. I seriously check my mailbox once a week and immediately throw out everything in it. Very rarely do I receive a piece of mail that isn't marked "Current resident," or "Our 'friends' at..." All of my bills are automatically paid online now with no paper statements. I signed up for this thing that stops creditors from sending me offers for up to 5 years. And I usually get all of my online shopping shipped UPS or Fedex. If I can bribe my mail carrier into not delivering junk mail to me I'll be fully independent from my mailbox.

i dont even have to take the smartlink card out of my wallet, just tap my wallet on there and walk through. the metro card is so thin so i dont mind having both. but when i ride the subway i have to actually remove it from my wallet and swipe it. come on nyc it's almost 2011!

people that know nothing about the statue's significance should stop being so insensitive. it should stay.

I also want to petition to rename christopher columbus drive. the name is too long and wont fit on my driver's license and takes too long to write out on forms. oh and he didnt really discover america and killed natives.

Can you understand the reasoning behind the "have a paid fare on you" vs the turnstile or dipping a card near the driver? It speeds up loading tremendously in a train with a number of doors. Many systems both in the US and worldwide use this method. But it's not really the mechanics of it that's the issue, it's a money thing. Neither parties have an interest in splitting the pie, or believe ridership would increase enough to offset the loss. I'm sure the PA reasons why should they lose half the fare that a HBLT to PATH rider pays when that rider would likely have ended up on then PATH anyway.

During non peak hours no one pays for the light rail anyway. Imagine if they had a smartlink card option, that wouldn't bog down people boarding and you'd be able to use it at the path too.

For the same reason there's no transfer from PATH to Subway, it's a different system that needs to make it's own money. There's no transfer from LIRR or metro north to subway and they have the same manager: MTA. Even the bus to subway transfers in NY are a relatively recent innovation.

all they really need to do is just pave it, and then leave it alone. the pot holes are horrendous when you get off the turnpike. i live on columbus right now but thankfull im moving to a different neighborhood before this becomes a free for all.

Not condoning damage to the car... but just wanted to clear up the facts :

1. You knew it was in front of a garage driveway and would trouble the owner - yet you didn't care

2. The owner has left notes for people who have parked there earlier (oh.. let's be specific.. rude notes) which means people do this all the time - yet you didn't care

3. After parking there, you "forgot" about it and left it there till the morning.. potentially inconveniencing the owners significantly - yet you didn't care

Hmmm - and you are the only wronged person here. Interesting.

So you're clearing up the facts that you made up? Ok. Did you read my post? "I realize I was in the wrong if I was blocking them at all, and I do apologize to whomever...Whoever did it, that's the wrong way to deal with it." Where did i say I didn't care? Obviously you read that somewhere else. My landlord even says he doesn't blame for blaming them, and they still got into their garage just fine. "Potentially inconveniencing the owners"? Really? No. They could have called to get it towed if they were so inconvenienced but they werent and vandalizing out of rage is inexcusable. And also found out he has security cameras which will prove everything that happened.

ive only seen them consistently leave rude, passive-aggressive notes on people's cars, but i haven't had any run-ins myself. yeah maybe im just pointing fingers but this type of act usually only happens if someone was provoked. like if a guy parks across 4 spots in a parking lot, that would provoke someone to key it. if this is just a guy that likes scratching things why was just my car scratched and not the other five or six adjacent cars i looked at this morning? and it was just the driver's side like they wanted me to see it as soon as i walked up to it to get in. im not making a HUGE jump to conclusions, it just seems rather premeditated. keying someone's car is a method of revenge.
