The man is a complete moron. Don't care about race, period. You listen to him speak in public and you wonder if he has a clue what he's talking about because he comes off like an idiot despite his degrees. You look at the status of the JC public schools after all these years under his so-called "leadership" and you just want to cry. Been here 25 years and raised two kids. We need someone who can get the job done, not an overpaid idiot-

Info on how to take someone to Small Claims Court?

Could anyone tell me how to initiate the process of taking someone to Small Claims Court?
A customer is apparently not intending to pay me for consulting work. The amount is under $500 so a lawyer makes no sense. Thanks,

I was the second person in Downtown JC to get DSL and I do computer support work so I'm watching this like a hawk!
Yes, they're going north on Jersey Ave. And they're trying to sell it to the major property developers (some are my clients) so I really think we'll have connections starting within 6 month. Costs less than Comcast but a bit more than DSL and speeds are almost 5X both upstream and down. Don't bother calling Verizon or using their web site with your home phone number. When you see that new 1.5" diameter cable run down your block AND you see new boxes on the corner poles THEN it might be available-

Pizza was pretty good in the restaurant (way better than 45-minute-old delivery) but whatever you do DON"T order the garlic bread. It was soggy, bland and just plain awful. I mean, the frozen bread from the grocery store would be WAAY better. This was just gross. Complained to the waitress but got charged for it anyway. The owners should be embarrassed. There are several fantastic bakeries in JC and Hoboken but they obviously don't care enough to serve decent bread. Definitely won't return.

I do IT support for small businesses, with most of my clients located in Downtown JC. I've also done a number of personal jobs for neighbors who found me here on JCList.
You really don't want to take it to Geek Squad. Those kids have minimal training. I've been doing this for decades! If you have an operating system failure I can easily boot the drive to recover your data. If the laptop has failed I can remove the hard drive and read the data with an adapter cable to another computer. And if the hard drive has truly physically failed I MIGHT be able to read it. If I can't do it your only remaining option is a data recovery center where they bust open the drive and spin the platter very slowly on a very expensive machine (and they will charge you at least $1,000 for this service). I do this a few dozen times per year and I've never lost a client's data. Please contact me for a free inspection and diagnosis. After that, my rates are reasonable. pchelp@david.aldenmail.com Cheers,
