So your blaming Clinton? Isn't GWB president right now? It was fine during the Clinton administration but because GWB is business first and people last he let the mortgage industry do what ever it wanted so he could bragged about the rise in home ownership. Had he stepped in to make sure people weren't getting loans that would f%ck people over we wouldn't be in this place. Also this is also due to the greed of many banks who were steering people away from better mortgages into riskier more profitable mortgages or so they thought.

This happen in the second hottest spot for drugs in the city. There's no way any of the people in Greenville can do anything without a badge and a gun. The city should require cops to "live where they work" so that they could serve as a deterrent against crime, much like what Hoboken is now doing in the projects.

Racial profiling? When the hell did I say that? I would love to see more traffic enforcement as it would reduce the way some of the people drive around here and can lead to drugs and wanted suspects. I'm for traffic enforcement because if I had a nickel for every time people have almost tried to ram into me while driving like assholes I'd be stinking rich! Unfortunately we do not have enough cops.

The problem is that you fail to mention the problems YOUR community is facing and you make racist generalizations on many of your post. You bash my community all the time but Last time I went to the heights a freaking crackhead asked me for a cookie. I was like WTF do I look like the cookie monster to you? Well I learned that she was not asking for a cookie that you eat, she was looking for the one you smoke! I have a lot of family members in the heights and what they tell me is a hell of a lot different from what you post on this board. I will admit that the problem is not as bad as what happens in some places around here, but the heights is facing a lot of major issues which may cause you little racist butt to move if you don't acknowledge it and deal with it. Many of the stuff that happens around here is primarily isolated in a few spots, I wish I could do something to stop the drugs and the violence in those spots but I'm not a vigilante nor do I have the money to pay for more extra cops. But for now where I live it is as safe or safer then many parts of the heights so I do have a problem when you make the entire area where I live as a hell whole and fail to mention that parts of your area has a lot of the same problems.

Cops have a huge light on the drivers side of their patrol cars which will turn night into daylight. They would have been able to see everything. And it is really mystifying that the cop who was right next to the suspect would try to save the suspect life by taking the weapon away instead of shooting the suspect dead which is normal procedure. Also if the cop was really fighting for the gun with the officer the other officer would have had a tough time trying to avoid hitting the other cop. But the the suspect was very stupid in the first place by getting high and having a gun in the first place, glad nobody else but him got killed.

I don't think You'll get any sympathy from the judge, I've seen people plead guilty and it only took them about 2 minutes after the 2-3 hours wait for the prosecutor and judge. The judge accepted their plea and that was it. Pleading guilty to a 4 point ticket is a stupid idea since it will cost you A LOT more than paying $400 + court fees since your insurance will shoot the roof. Sure some insurance companies don't care about a simple 2 point violation, but for 4 points there's no way in hell they wont increase your insurance by a ridiculous rate. The prosecutor, who in my experience is a little liar, will offer you the plea for $400 and two points on your license. Take it, and later take the course for save driving and get those two points knocked off. This site offers the course but i do not know if its legit or not. http://www.safemotorist.com/NewJersey/Defensive_Driving.aspx

Actually GrovePath, subprime loans are not the only loans in trouble. If you haven't seen the news lately loans to prime home buyers have started to take a turn for the worse. Adding insult to injury, many of job losses in the past year have been from the financial sector, the industry that helped DJC become what it is today. You won't see a huge collapse of the real estate market in DJC but you will see a downturn in prices though.

I suggest talking to your boss/union representative as teachers, firefighters, and police men get first dibs on foreclosed properties! You probably wont even have to compete with realtors and you could get a nice property with parking. Right now its the perfect time to buy a foreclosed property. For you I would recommend the Lincoln Park area as that is the most up and coming area of the city and you wont be the only "white girl" around there.

Why move there when you can get a hell of a deal in downtown! IRS is having a fire sale in the metropolis towers! More info coming soon but I recommend bookmarking the link below so you will know when the auctions starts it's 22nd on the list. FIRE SALE!!!
http://www.treasury.gov/auctions/treasury/rp/realprop.shtml Note: My sincere apologies to anybody who bought or is selling anything in the metropolis towers, this will make prices rock bottom.

A lot of stuff that happens in downtown NEVER gets reported for some reason, but if anything happens in my part of the city it's front page news. The only thing I see in the newspaper about downtown blatant advertisements for real estate. That's why I think that the Jersey Journal is the biggest pile of garbage in town.

Parking authority is not here to clean the streets, their here to make money for the city. As for parking after the sweeper has passed, they do not enforce this and if they did it would be counter productive for the city as the parking situation across the city is a nightmare. Also the parking authority is more money hungry in downtown JC because they know the residents will have the money to pay up more easily. Sometimes around where I live they never pass or only the street sweeper passes by itself but since the ready and able men always pass the streets are always clean.
