Re: Just 15 minutes ago: Female jogger harassed/assaulted by roving band of teens - Jersey and 4th

an easy solution would be just beating the teens of Jersey city. That wouldn't fly though.

Its obvious that 97%(just a made up ballpark figure ) of the ids have been failed by the schools and parents so maybe we should beat them.

Alas this is not a solution either. The only real one at the moment in the middle of July is to force the pd to enforce the curfew.

Most of the kids are a lost cause and until the schools and parents try harder the will continue to be so.

I just watched the JCFD put out a fire that looks like it was started by fire crackers of somesort in one of those Clothes donation boxes in BF. Are fireworks that easy to get in this area? I didn't think that many people had the cars to drive out to PA to go buy them.

Get these recordings. Not sure if they were made in Jersey City, but they were made to Jersey City.

Brownstone is nothing to brag about. That place is an embarrassment to the state. Food stinks and so do the hours.

When you mention drugs with this I'm thinking more someone on PCP and just going nuts.

On a lighter note if you ever watched "Diner, Drive ins, and Dives", there is a garage in the Bronx that also makes BBQ and will replace your winshield and give you a brisket plate while you wait.

I'd say treat all dealers the same. Scumbags.

When buying a new car i always suggest calling for a quote for the car you want and then haggle from there. Your dream car will always be there so never let yourself get into a high pressure situation.

Try Toyota with all their negative press they probably want to unload a few cars.

Welcome to Jersey city. Call the incinerator authority (not 100% sure on that) and they'll clean it.

I wonder how much of a bad ass they will be then.
It would save the tax payers the money of keeping them incarnated. It's a win win, they like to kill, here is there opportunity to kill terrorist and we don't have to deal with them.

Thats an awful idea. Many street gangs acquire weapons through this exact process of joining our armed forces. I do disagree with the fact that we spend so much keeping them in prison.

Frankly prisoners of this caliber get too much while in prison. Hear this idea out for the murderers, rapists, pedophiles, muggers, car jackers. All the violent criminals. The ones that physically cause harm to others and cause people to fear the streets.

1. Everybody gets solitary. 23 hours a day. in a cell thats just long enough for a bed and maybe 3x3 feet for the toilet.

2. They get the scraps of the guards and the white collar criminals to eat. Why should they get 3 squares a day.

3. No books, no gyms, no personal effects.

4. Showers once a week and no cleaning of the cells.

Criminals know how easy it is to be in prison. They're like resorts to these criminals.

Lets first remember they're only suspects. They are innocent until proven guilty. If they are though I hope they're all charged the same and sentenced the same. People that commit crimes like this, rape, and pedophilia have no hope. They cannot be treated under our current system and therefore should be separated from society. / rant off

Just food for thought. Businesses cater to clientele. They are obviously still above water because of their customers. Only way to change them is to convince them that a different client base would make them more money.

And what about the people who can't afford to pay higher rents? It would be safe to say that I am middle class. I am single, work two jobs and go to school full-time. If they raised rents then where would I go? Just because I pay a lower rent doesn't mean i'm a bad person. I dont live downtown cause simply put, I cannot afford it. Should Jersey City be only for people who can afford 1200 a month for a studio? I am just curious as to your thought process.

It sounds cruel but it would be an efficient way to ease problems around here. Do you have a better solution?

What about cell phones? We have laws for drivers for that. Pedestrians who need to stop and text or make a call need to be careful. Only pedestrians I watch for are children.

Wow great bar graph. It doesn't say for the top 3 what town because as we all know salaries for those jobs vary from town o town. How long theyved worked those jobs. Or rank. As for the private sector is that deflated by statistics of retail grunts who make only 10 an hour? Come back with some real data.

It is unfair that there isn't a larger area for the dogs to be off leash in the area. On a semi related matter is there a rule about keeping cricket out of the tennis courts? Go find a cricket field.

If you work more then 40 hours a week not including lunch find a new job. No one gets into teaching for the money. Now cutting administrators and course coordinators could be a good idea.

Also remember most teachers grade papers and work at home. They work waaay more then 40. If you have a problem with teachers send them a message, home school your child. You obviously think you know how to educate better and what its worth.
