I will admit that I missed the one post (about threading at rickies), but I believe that the threads were combined after I posted. I normally use the search function, but since the topic was already being discussed I decided to throw it out there.

Does anyone know of a place in downtown JC that does threading? There is a place in hoboken, but I would rather avoid the hassle of parking.

so from looking things up:
"b)The driver of any vehicle knowingly involved in an accident resulting only in damage to a vehicle, including his own vehicle, or other property which is attended by any person shall immediately stop his vehicle at the scene of such accident or as close thereto as possible, but shall then forthwith return to and in every event shall remain at the scene of such accident until he has fulfilled the requirements of subsection (c) of this section. Every such stop shall be made without obstructing traffic more than is necessary. Any person who shall violate this subsection shall be fined not less than $200 nor more than $400, or be imprisoned for a period of not more than 30 days, or both, for the first offense, and for a subsequent offense, shall be fined not less than $400 nor more than $600, or be imprisoned for a period of not less than 30 days nor more than 90 days or both."

however the person can get up to 8 points for a hit and run. i am willing to go to court (even though my car was secondary) to get this guy if you guys are

I am not talking about little scratches and dents, sometimes shit happens. I'm refering to the people that cause significant damage to a parked vechicle and decide that they do not have to pay the consequence just because no one saw. Why should I, or anyone else, have to pay to get something fixed that was some selfish persons fault. And the person in the case left a VERY BADLY damaged car, to the point where it had to be towed, so who is to say next time they won't just leave a person laying in the middle of the street?

Katie,

I was actually goint to post something for you on this! I really hope they find whoever this person is. If the cameras from the pizza place aren't good, I feel like we should just walk up the street looking for cameras!

I would consider only 2 times in 4 years pretty good (depending on the damage). Between JC and New Brunswick I can't even count the number of times my car has been hit in the past 4 years. The most recent was fairly bad damage within the 10 hours prior to security cameras being installed which would have caught the person who hit me. oh well... such is the life of parallel parking.
