We ate at Rita & Joe's tonight and the food was excellent. However, one of our deciding factor to eat there was that kids under 5 eat free according to the beverage section of their dinner menu. Yet, when the bill came the kids dinners totaled $16.00.

Anybody else have any experience with kid dining there?

We didn't question it while paying it because the service was good. However, I kept the receipt to check with others to see if we should question.

Yep, After a quick google, I concur and it appears that they are complaining about the smoke more than the noise. Article I read also put the cost to the general public at $55/ride. That's some good fact checking there. Another $50 will get you the boat ride to Bayonne Golf Club with a full bar.

On the PATH this morning, the new fancy TV monitors were saying that Goldman Sachs was receiving complaints from JC residents about the noise of the ferries. Where the heck did they get that? I have been complaining about the the Liberty Harbor ferries for years, but not about the noise, about the wakes causing erosion. The only people who would hear the Colgate/GS ferries are well, Goldman. Funny what gets picked up as news.

Probably not the smartest idea to BBQ on all of that dead grass. The whole peninsula is a tinderbox right now. I was waiting for the whole park to become a wildfire. Is Dancing Tony in the "Hey, It's Jersey City" videos?

Apparently, the BBQ place is closing. At least according to facebook last night, although they are being a little cryptic. I hope they don't close. I wanted to get some for Father's Day.

I got takeout last night. While they are getting used to business there were some expected kinks. Out of a couple of things, etc.

But the food: Excellent! Portions: Big. I got the full rack and my wife and I should have split it.

I look forward to hitting this up once a month. Would be nice if there was a place to eat in. Maybe the old sand bar people will be smart and get these guys to do their cooking.

Everybody here has noticed the same thing, the park is in disarray. That's why we should push our state and city govt to do something. Not to mention the corporations who have gotten huge tax abatements. How about Crystal Point, KHovanian, Equity Residential and Goldman fund the park? The plan the local group has for the park isn't perfect but looks good to me.

There is a group who is trying to improve the park and a dog run is a part of that plan. Unfortunately, after the group made progress with DEP and Jersey City, funding was pulled due to the bad economy.

Went outside to take a look. Couple of trucks but no smoke. Looks like the plastic high heels will be back. Sadly.

How much were the private lessons?

Other than lack of hot water, is there any other reason not to go? Does it seem clean?

Why was Pershing Field not to your liking? I take my daughter ice skating there every weekend. While some of the kids roughhouse a little and use some not so great language, everybody even the kids go out of their way to make sure my daughter has fun.
