Lessons today from JCList:

a: If you need a tree trimmed you should NOT call the Jersey City Department for Forestry (who you are supposed to call) because they do not know how to trim a tree and will merely cut it down.

b: If you find a stray cat that needs to be brought to an animal shelter you should NOT call the Jersey City Department for Animal Control (who you are supposed to call) because they do not know how to take a stray cat to an animal shelter and will merely dump it in a park in freezing weather and then lie about it.

c: If you need a Mayor to help reduce crime, improve quality of life and create jobs you should not call Mayor Healy because he should have never been voted mayor in the first place.

d: all of these people are in the wrong jobs and are paid for with our hard earned taxes. We are fools for allowing it.

he talks about new construction projects -- but no mention of the one's that have stalled on grand street half done with no chance of being fully realized anytime soon.

he talks of being a greener city when there is trash all over the streets, parks and highways

he talks about crime being down and yet people are getting mugged weekly (and that's just what is reported here - god knows what goes un reported)

Healy is a joker who knows that he cant hold down ANY OTHER job of this type.

he will be a bartender in bradley beach before 2011, mark my words. nothing wrong with that, because it's where he should have been all along. he just should have never tried to be a politician.

Kind of quick to refer to someone as an idiot for a typo don't you think. And if a typo makes someone an idiot, tell me what "not to siver" means.

Bravo!

ok heres some ideas to deter crime.

1. an ankle tracking device that also acts as a shock collar. it will go off if 2 convicted felons with these devices get to close to each other or if a petafile gets within a certain distance of schools etc.

2. lets join the 40 other states that allow the right to carry.
Unlike other states NJ can lead the way in gun safety by having mandatory strict testing for all carrying civilians and make them carry gun insurance. it would be a great tax revenue for a state that loves to tax the life out of us.

3. mandatory death penalty for any 1st degree murder. I dont care if it doesnt deter crime. little chance of a dead man escaping jail.

How about Jersey City having a larger police force that will take a proactive approach to crime rather then a reactive one.

according to healy's re-election ads (the one where he has reduced crime) he has increased the # of cops by 400. I don't witness this in my neighb, but JC is a big place. Still, he won't get my vote cause i don't feel any safer....
