Vote Wintner to start the breakup of ?Team Healy?

Hudson Reporter
Oct 24, 2010 |

Change, you can see, starts in Ward B. Vote 10E Esther Wintner on Nov. 2. Residents of Jersey City, starting with Ward B, we have an opportunity to start of breaking up Team Healy gang by voting out David Donnelly, who has been associated with and worked for Mayor Healy for numerous years. He was appointed to the position last October after another Team Healy member former councilman, Phil Kenny, stepped down following his guilty plea in federal court for accepting bribes from government informant Solomon Dwek. David Donnelly should be voted out on his track record alone. In one year as the appointed councilman, he has voted ?yes? to bond $84 million dollars ? in essence raising the Jersey City residents? taxes. We must put a stop to this out-of-control spending.

We can start by the residents of Ward B coming out and voting for Esther Wintner. Unlike David, she will not be controlled by Team Healy and told how to vote. Esther will vote down any more tax increases that the Healy Team wants to impose on the Jersey City residents, along with voting down any more spending Jersey City cannot afford. Esther will work with the City Council to ensure a realistic budget is created and created on time. She will be visible to the residents in Ward B, and not just during election time. It is time to vote for a person outside of the Healy machine to start moving Jersey City in right direction. Vote Esther Wintner 10E councilperson in Ward B on Nov. 2!

Is there any area that is actually safe in Jersey City. Our Moron of a Mayor still continues to say crime is at a 30 year low as mentioned in the NJN interview.

I was at tonight's council meeting, while one of the speakers was mentioning the importance of keeping the libraries open and how they are a safe haven and keep the less fortunate children who want to learn and have the availability of a computer, something we can easily take for granted with having a computer at home, both Brennan and Gaughan were not paying attention to what she was saying and having their own conversation and laughing, yucking it up. Brennan and Gaughan showed they could care less if the libraries stay open.
We need to get rid of those two arrogant, self-serving councilman, they do nothing for the residents and present no solutions to the issues we are having here in JC.

How can you believe anything Mayor Healy says. He is a LIAR!!!!

He said in an article May 1, 2009:
A property tax increase simply isn?t in the cards. He says his administration has ?restrained spending while seeking new sources of reoccurring revenue,? specifically a parking lot tax and a hotel tax, which together bring in close to $10 million per year. HEALY LIED

He tells us crime is down, yes a shooting practically everyday - Another LIE

Healy promised police on the beat..Where are they? LIE

Healy LIED about Vega.

Open and Honest Government. We are yet to see - LIE

He shoved David Donnelly down our throats through appointing him, without given the residents an option and he will do the same with Vega's replacement.

Healy mentions he will replace with the best qualified, how can that happen when Healy himself is not qualified or competent as our Mayor!

Only in Jersey City would some people want to reward failure. By giving Epps a new or extended contract would be doing just that.

Come on Jersey City we can do better, we have failures "Team Healy" running our city and also want to continue with the failures in our Education leadership.

Let's get rid of these FAILURES!!!!!

Crime is out of control here in Jersey City, I just learned the my neighbor's house was burglarized today.

While yes you can't 100% blame crime on the Mayor resident safety is a major part of his job.

HEALY and his captive Council have been in office long enough and have yet to seriously address the crime issue which continues to get worse under his administration.

Jersey City has become a breeding ground for criminal activity, Drug Dealers, Murderers, Gangs, Violent Crime and even more so under Team Healy.

Healy and his Council (most of them being in office for numerous years) Jersey City has become a comfortable place for criminals to live and go about their business.

Mayor Healy is the one who is boasting crime is at a 30 year low, and yes he is accountable for residents safety it is part of his job as Chief Executive of Jersey City.

He want to claim the streets of Jersey City are safe..PROVE IT!!!!
'
How can you predict when crime, murder, muggings, rain storms, sunamis, floods, and any else on the list is going to happen ? It's not Healy's fault it's the idiots that cause this to occur. I work with a maniac is Healy the cause of that situation, a guy runs a red light talking on a cell phone shall we blame that on Healy, Cucci, Kenny, Hague and every other mayor this town has seen. Lets get real thei city has residents that are uneducated, mean, impulsive, wasteful, ignorant, and uncaring of who or what is around them.

Has it not yest been recognized that CRIME IS OUT OF CONTROL in Jersey City!

We have an incompetent buffoon as a Mayor, along with his Captive Council that tell us crime is at a 30 year, in addition Healy lists it as one of accomplishments and reason he should not be recalled.

This city is bursting a the seems with problems, with crime being a major issue. There is ZERO LEADERSHIP with Team Healy.

When is one of the councilperson going to have the balls to step up and attack the crime issue and present a solution, or recommendation.

Thank you. What is sad but true, until we vote in better leadership in Jersey City, sections of this city will be mired in crime.

My concern is the crime will continue to spread across Jersey City and not just the low income areas. For instance McGinley square by Hudson Catholic was once a very safe area as was the heights.

This must be Team Healy's version of - Change You Can See....see your taxes go up....see Jersey City in more debt....see more violent crimes...see less and less services across the city.
They never said it would be positive change.

It's amazing to see people yell and scream, a team of Jersey Residents are working towards a recall and asked for volunteers toward build recall committees across Jersey City and what did people do, the sat on their ass rather than get involved. So are people ready to take action or just sit behind their keyboards. Get involved in the recall movement.

Quote:

Wednesday, June 09, 2010, 4:55 PM
Melissa Hayes/The Jersey Journal

Jersey City residents have filed a notice in an attempt to recall Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy.
A group of Jersey City residents have began an effort to recall Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy and his City Council slate.
A three-person recall committee ? comprised of residents John Lynch, Riaz Wahid and Martha Larkins ? sent a certified letter to the City Clerk?s office Friday.

Lynch said the letter was signed for. City Clerk Robert Byrne said today he has not personally seen it yet.
Byrne must review the recall committee?s notice of intent and approve it before the committee can begin collecting signatures. Those petitions would require signatures of 25 percent of the registered voters in the city.
The committee also submitted notice to recall at-large City Council members Peter Brennan, Mariano Vega and Willie Flood and intends to go after ward seats as well.

The group is soliciting volunteers to create committees to launch recall efforts against Ward A Councilman Michael Sottolano, Ward C Councilwoman Nidia Lopez, Ward D Councilman Bill Gaughan and Ward F Councilwoman Viola Richardson.

Those committees must be comprised of registered voters living in the ward.

The recall committee has been soliciting volunteers on local website JCList.

We've got some valuable information passed along by concerned citizens

http://jerseycitydesk.blogspot.com/20 ... valuable-information.html

And they love Jersey City just like Johnny has grown to and what they want (and what Johnny wants) is Mayor Healy out of office. They want an end to his cronyism. They want an end to free cars and gas. They want an end to Mariano Vega stonewalling. They want, well tell you what, click on the image and get your rear ends outside of city hall June 23rd at 5:30 pm before the City Council meeting.

If you're mad or sick and tired of being sick and tired of the corruption, be there, ALOHA!

Let's not let the City Council think we forgot about them or let them off the hook.

We had great turnouts during winter rallying and protesting regarding taxes and the budget.

Are you ready to hit with your 2nd Quarter Tax bill with it's increase.

What about the next budget, we already know it's going to be late, have they even started on it.

This is the last evening meeting until September...it time to come back out rally.

Let's also get together with the committees that are working on the recall initiative, we need to get rid of some of Team Healy.

Wednesday, June 23rd be there, be heard. Let's not wait until another tax hike is proposed to get motivated.

Spread the word.

I'll be signing all of these petitions. These BUMS have been stealing from us with a smile and a sense of entitlement. They have sold our city for pennies. $5K is all it takes to get something in this city? Please...these guys are lucky the recall is being done legally. I personally think it should be done vigilante style...torches and pitch forks in front of all their homes.

Yes Fulop represents downtown, but he's been proposing legislation that would help the entire city and these bums in office just vote him down because it takes money and entitlement out of their pockets. Say what you want about Fulop and yes he stands to gain from this, but so does the ENTIRE city since he's the only member of the council trying to help this city. This city that has uneducated bums stealing our tax dollars and spending it on nonsensical perks for themselves and their friends.

Any of you clowns on this board that want to defend these bums please state what organization pays your bills. Until then I'll assume you are only supporting these bums because you gain financially from their corrupt policies and politics.

As for me...I work in NY and make my money in advertising, so my only motive is to see this city in which I have bought an expensive home in run correctly and grow the way it's supposed to. So yes I support Fulop and the logical initiatives he's put forth because they make sense financially and morally for this city. All you Fulop haters - come clean before you throw stones!

As for those doubting the folks pushing this forward...even if it fails applaud them. At least they are doing more than complaining and b*tching, they are actually putting action behind their words. Also...I happen to know some of the folks organizing these recalls DO NOT live in DOWNTOWN. So squash that argument also.

So...what's your reasoning for opposing this recall? Don't talk trash unless you're ready to state your motives. Bring it!

I see no one has anything to say now...thought so. Seriously...if you want to debate the topic I'll give you my name and address and we can sit down and talk about it logically, but you know there's no logic or benefit behind the motives of those we are trying to bounce. Enough said...
