Just saw Mayor Tipsy on TV crying those crocodile tears at the cops funeral. What happened to the good mayor? It looks like he had the shit kicked out of him with the busted lip and band aid over half of his red nose.

Did he fall down drunk somewhere?

Corzine must be sh**ting his pants right now as he watches his reelection chances go down the toilet. Watch the company you keep, Jonny Boy. Hopefully the feds are holding a cell for you and Healy.

Is Healy still in bed sleeping off last night's bender? Where is his statement about the crap that just went down?

I'm waiting for the first drunk tool bag stumbling out from ZH to get mowed down.

Come to think of it, it seems as if the LH developer caters to the bar patrons, so I don't know why the light on Grand isn't turned on.

Ah yes, the good old bait and switch by Mike and Dara. Don't believe a word those two hucksters say because the prices are indeed negotiable. If they aren't, look elsewhere downtown since everyone else is working on the prices.

If the terrible construction and even worse property management are any indication of what to expect, they should be paying you to live there.

Have you guys on 2 had your hallways repainted yet? We were told that the halls would be repainted when the construction and some of the move-in's were completed.

That wrapped up in January...

This is really a shame, but I am not surprised. With all the scammers, idiots, and trash in this area, people are hesitant to stop because it might be a fugazi.

On the other hand, the dim bulbs known as the JCPD will still be just sitting in their cruisers and doing nothing. Some things never change, and these cops are a joke.

Buy an air purifier ASAP. I clean mine out every other day and the amount of dust is mind blowing - even for new construction.

Saw a couple last night, around 9PM sitting on the curb in front of the Zenith with a lot of belongings. Looked like they were somewhat irritated.

I could only imagine what would make a couple sit on the sidewalk with moving bins...

That's how management rolls in these parts. Move people into a half complete building and then ignore all calls and emails when you ask about progress. I wonder how bad 30 Regent will be compared to the Zenith. Lots of people have broken their leases and left this place.

When you move in make sure you stay on management if you need repairs because it can take weeks to hear back from anyone.

I'm in the Zenith. This place has been a nightmare from day one. Trying to get out of the lease now since many others have been successful.

Good luck with moving into The Regent. You will soon quickly find out that management has a compulsive lying issue and you will get five stories from three people on why things are wrong.

Once you move in, it will take weeks to get a maintenance response, and when the body odor boys do finally come to fix the problems, the repairs are done so poorly that they have to come back time and time again.

Good to hear the news with Mr. Torres.

Went through the intersection at lunch and there was a JCPD cruiser with a cop sitting in the vehicle monitoring traffic. Shame that it takes something like this to wake these boys up.

Speed trap that whole entire stretch and make the reckless drivers pay for their actions.

I wouldn't be shocked if cannibalism was alive and well in JC. The way a LOT of people act around here, shows me they are a half a chromosome away from reverting back to knuckle scraping and dragging their women around by their hair.

How long can kegs keep unrefrigerated for? Saw several distributors unloading kegs yesterday and assumed they would be going right into refrigeration - didn't really think about it.

Well, the laundry room is in the basement and lo and behold, there were about 30-40 kegs just sitting down there from yesterday afternoon.

Wow, Lake George! Just brought back a flood of memories from when I was a kid. If you don't feel like driving too far, New Paltz is a really nice place too.

My GF took me there for my birthday weekend and we had a great time.

Bam! You knew your crack house would have a bar on the ground floor! Right?

Nope! We were told the Zepplin was going to be an upscale restaurant. My neighbor was told it was going to be professional offices (i.e. GP medical office).

The fact that there is a beer garden doesn't bother me, but rather, the fact that we were lied to about the grilling/common lawn does. To top it all off, the cigarette smoke issue from a lot (possibly) of people wafting through the AC vents makes it even worse. My GF detests cigarette smoke, and I don't want to have her living somewhere where this can/will be an issue.

On the other hand, almost every night I am out walking the dog, people meander back here to check to see if it's open. There have been some nice people and some shady looking characters.

Saturday night I ended up talking to a really nice couple that asked when the place was going to open, but 2 minutes later a white Acura MDX pulls up with what appears to have been the Gotti girls inside.

The residents of LHN get a whopping 10% off their bill! That just makes me want to run out and go to the Golden Cicada (which is a hell of a good time most nights we go there).

Unfortunately, we are living above this. We were told that this outdoor seating area was going to be a common yard with a few grills. We are trying to get out of the lease now and will take the management company to court if need be, and will be seeking full security return and moving costs.

I wouldn't be surprised if debris gets tossed out the windows by some pissed off residents.

This place will be a nightmarish problem for Liberty Harbor residents. Wait and see. For the same reasons Sand Bar is a problem for Downtown Jersey City in general. It's proximity to the Lightrail and the Sandbar for that matter will be it's downfall. Serving good beer will not discourage the idiots from coming there and with space for 500 people there obviously will be a noise problem with people coming and going at late hours. Who says they won't have DJs, I bet they will.

The idea of a beer garden is great. I have been to Bohemian Hall is Astoria, and found it a unique experience, but here is the difference between Bohemian Hall and the Zepplin.

At Bohmeian Hall, the crowd is a tad on the older side (late 30's to late 50's) and the atmosphere is an enjoyable experience. Now, does anyone think that that age group will be at Zepplin enjoying some beers?

I addressed the whole sound testing issue with the head of A1 property management and she told me they were doing "loud sound testing to see the threshold of when residents would complain". WTF? Yeah, that sounds like a traditional beer garden to me.

Factor in the younger crowd, the noise from the light rail, a DJ or two, and pissed off residents trying to get some sleep and you have a huge issue. I can only imagine how many times the cops will be called after some 25 year old douche nozzle grows a 12 pack set of balls and becomes a tough guy.

The people with the most to lose are the condo, town home, brownstone owners in the development. Really, who wants to buy a place in a neighborhood where a nuisance bar could be located.
I really hope this place is sane and fun, but my gut tells me it's going to suck and be a problem for the neighborhood.
