On the path beside it or actually on the road? I change my route nearly every time I jog, but don't recall people jogging in the street.

PJ Ryan's has a lot of craft beers, on draft and in bottle. Had Dogfish Head 60 minute all night. They have 90 minute in bottle.

I'm curious myself about what will go there. Always meant to try a cuban sandwich from there. Have Margon next to my work so probably would have been let down.

That's fine with me .. Wish they could ban dog piss somehow. Realized 50% of Van Vorst Park smells like it .. Even the corner opposite the dog run. Might be human urine though .. Ya never know.

Yeah, I'm still of the mind that the guy should choose the first date place, or at least get consensus on it with the date.

I'd say go to Teak, only because it is a pretty place. However, if you're looking for a place like you showed in your post, the city might be a better option. Rattle & Hum comes to mind.

Mark - You may just not have a palate for quality food bc you are used to foods high in sodium an sugar as are most people in this country.

Razza's pizzas are very similar to the way pizza is made in italy. Even though this is all subjective, to say their pizzas aren't good is false.

Hahaha, oh JC List, always good for comments like this.

I didn't know Roman Nose did pizza. I'm more of a sauce man with pizza - if the sauce has good flavor then I'm sold.

Mark, that's surprising. Just out of curiosity, can you name a venue that makes pizza that you would consider excellent? Razza's pizza, and all Neopolitan style pizzas, in my opinion appeal to a different palate than a NY pizza slice joint. I enjoy both, but both are quite different.

I have no affiliation with the restaurant in even the slightest way; I'm just a pizza fanatic and I find Razza's offering to be pretty close to lightning in a bottle.

In Jersey City, there is no "excellent", however as far as that style of pizza goes, Rustique is the best I've tried in the area.

Moreover, I suppose those pizzas taste like what I can make from scratch at home, so to pay for them seems crazy. Plus just found Razza's pizza bland, despite all the ingredients on it (I had the Santo).

I feel like I'm in a bizarro Jersey City with the reviews of this place. I went there, ordered the ridiculous $18 pizza, had a couple glasses of wine, and will never return.

I went because it was voted as one of the best pizza places in the country so I had to see what the fuss was. The staff was very friendly, no problems there, but the pizza was nothing remotely close to writing home about.

Maybe something is wrong with me if everyone loves it so much. My friend wasn't impressed either, so maybe I'm not totally crazy.

I hope the best of success to them, but I just don't get it.

It's strange. I haven't owned a car since ~2007 (no need), so when I see advertisements for places that require cars to get to I find it hard to comprehend.

I miss driving, to restaurants in Bayonne or otherwise.

Arrive back with a stuffed mailbox. I had the confirmation email that they would be holding it. I guess they figure my mailbox is big enough to be its own hold.

Just a bit of frustration for shit service, and a warning not to expect your mail to be held for you.

I am looking for someone reputable, with actual listening and problem solving skills, to fix two laptops I have. One of them needs a new motherboard and the other one has weird quirky problems that only a Jedi can probably figure out. I had a great place in Park Slope where I was living until recently, and brought them there, and the owner DISAPPEARED for over two months with them. He closed his business and vanished. The day I filed a police report, he turned up again, saying he had been in the hospital and he was sorry. Meanwhile, they are not fixed. I can't go through that again. Anyone know of a place where the people are not flakes and they actually fix things the first time? Thank you!

Hi, I'm willing to help you out for cheap, however I need to stop you in your tracks first.

1) Replacing a motherboard on a laptop? Completely not worth the trouble, unless you actually bought a new motherboard for it already. It isn't cost-effective to replace it, so you may as well buy a new laptop.

2) I can look at the other laptop to see what's wrong with it. You haven't given any detail, so hard to say. I'm happy to diagnose the problems for free for you.

I used to repair computers in my spare time when I lived in London. I'm an IT professional with about 20 years of experience working on computers, so I've no doubt I can solve your problems, *if* they are actually solvable.

I'll diagnose for free since I can't in good conscience charge someone for that, since I find repairing computers to be easy.

Message me if you're interested.

I used to live on 8th near Hamilton Park, quite a way from the river, but the noise of helicopters was something I recall bitching about whenever I had a few in me. Just couldn't hear the damn Mets game.

I moved out of JC in 2008, and recently moved back, now living by Van Vorst Park, and I never hear any helicopters, so just that bit of distance did wonders.

I'll bitch about it, but surely banning them would ruin some of the businesses. Welcome to the city, you whiny bastards!

Quick question for the crowd. When you have a 2-way street with crosswalks but no signals or stop signs (like Jersey Ave), I assume the requirement to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk is the same, right? I ask because I have often stopped on my side, only to have about a million cars coming the other way fail to stop, to the point where the people behind me are honking, but the pedestrian still can't cross.

Am I wrong about this, and is there some exemption for 2-way streets? It seems like there's about a 1% chance of cars going in both directions stopping at the crossing...

On the subject of deathtrap crossings. The un-signaled crosswalk on Marin near the 12th St. Holland Tunnel entrance. There are huge, neon yellow warning signs, but if you cross there when people are rushing to get into the tunnel you are totally taking your life in your own hands.

You are correct! Though as a pedestrian I wouldn't tempt it. We'd do good to have Belisha beacons at the crosswalks.

While we're on the topic, does anyone know whether there should be a stop sign on York Street @ Barrow Street?

In the Street View below it shows a crosswalk sign (the sign is currently missing, but the pole is still there). There's a line in the road that suggests a stop sign, but there is none.

I always wait for drivers, half of the drivers wait for me. Annoying little intersection.
