Not entirely sure what you are looking at with regards to muni bonds and the opportunity. If you choose to invest in NJ Muni Bonds, nothing will change with current tax plan. You will still receive tax free investment income as usual. This would not be related to SALT deductions.

Has anyone ever seen a Dixon rental downtown for $2000 per month? I've yet to see such a great deal.
If Solomon pays $4400 per year for his property, at least he is a property owner in the city and pays his way just like everyone else. Symes is Dixon...Dixon is Symes. Simple as that.

Went fishing with a buddy Sunday morning and came to a scene next to Surf City where they just pulled up a body from the harbor/marina. Young male. Cops had no idea of what happened but mentioned they pull bodies all the time from the water in the morning after nights of drinking and falling in. Havent seen any articles about it, but incredibly sad.

Amazes me how people drive through this neighborhood which is mostly all stop signs or traffic lights.
I just got done walking the dog and heard some lady cursing and yelling to herself (window open) in her car about a woman who walked into crosswalk to cross Erie and 8th. "Saying yea you walk out there all dressed and black and see if I see you next time". Bad, angry, miserable people.

We were riding our bikes there today just before 4 and didn't see this happen. Instead we witnessed a bunch of knucklehead jet skiers leaving Surf City, drinking, text and causing a ruckus in the channel. What a shame.

Simply put, that's a dumb article and doesn't deserve the credit of the back and forth banter. I'm sure the good people who live in Camden, Newark and Detroit wish their cities would stay the same for decades, no gentrification, horrible schools, crime, death etc. Why would you want things to improve for the better? The whole gentrification argument is getting old. Take a look at the history of several of the best cities all of us get to enjoy in our lifetimes and ask yourself if you think they were always so wonderful. Answer is, they weren't...so a certain level of gentrification did happen and you've directly benefited from it. Don't be a hypocrite.
