Re: Prospective new restaurant opening in Hamilton Park

I moved right next to that school. You know what's distracting those kids? The pile driving for the new development a block away. It is ridiculously loud every morning and the sound reverberates. I have no idea how they concentrate. I hope people don't blame the teachers for the poor standardized test scores.

So that's why I was stuck on the light rail this morning......
I never understand light rail accidents. They move SO slowly and there are stop signs, lights, and the beeping they make when they proceed across a crossing.

Hey! I am very petite and no pants, not even the short variety, fit me correctly. I'm looking for a good tailor downtown to shorten the length on a bunch of pants. I need a place that will allow me to try on the pants, and they do the pinning/measurements. Thanks in advance for your help.

You're probably already on your way, so this is fyi for anyone else. Subia's on Jersey Ave. usually has vegan muffins. The selection changes daily.

I attended Rutgers-Newark which is located in downtown Newark and it was the same deal. I paid for garage parking my first year and then moved into an apartment nearby the next. That's what happens when you go to school in a city. You don't see an NYU parking lot do you? I don't understand the problem......

Hi,

I'm moving next week and need to get a temporary no parking sign for the truck in front of my house. Does anyone know how to obtain one? Thanks!

Thanks for all your help guys! I've decided on Journal Square. It makes more sense transportation wise as I work in Manhattan. It's also only 1 PATH stop away from my old neighborhood so I won't have to change my lifestyle that much. However, with that being said, I like becoming part of the communities I live in. What's everyone's go to deli, bodega, food store, bar, take-out place etc.? Anything going on in the neighborhood to become a part of? Tips on meeting the neighbors? Appreciate the input!

I'm looking to rent. I love an urban scene. Being able to walk to everything I need is a plus. I gave up my car when I first moved to JC so public transportation is very important. I like that JS is just one PATH stop away from DT so I don't have to change my routine all that much. Then again, sometimes change is good! Being able to take the elevator to Hoboken might make up for the lack of PATH access. I can walk in the nicer weather or take the light rail.

Journal Square Vs. JC Heights

Hi,

I'm getting priced out of downtown so am considering a move to a small studio in either Journal Square or the Heights. Any tips/opinions? I work in Manhattan near Union Square so my first instinct was JS, but there's not much to do near there. I love going out to restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. I'm also into fitness and Blink just opened up. The Heights is still pretty quiet, but if I move near the elevator, I can take advantage of all the shops/restaurants/bars in Hoboken. Plus, you can't beat the views for running.

They use Nellie's All Natural Detergent. http://nelliesallnatural.com/internal/
Every other wash n fold uses cheap detergent that makes me break out in hives.

I'm really happy with this place so far. Super clean and machines do not smell like mildew. I always get a dryer right away and they're really fast! I also like the fact that you can use a laundry card. I always hated having to find quarters. Overall great experience!

Problems With Rustique Delivery

Anyone else have issues with their delivery? I ordered a salad at 8:30pm. Had to cancel the order at 10:30 because the food never showed up. Called the restaurant several times to find out what was up. No explanation. Just the typical "on it's way".
