Re: Solomon has no resume

Can James Solomon simultaneously endorse Matsikoudis and also hold Fulop to a higher standard than Matsikoudis? The real life FBI came to City Hall and arrested a bunch of people under Healy/Matsikoudis. The Deputy Mayor went to federal prison. If Matsikoudis gets a pass from Solomon for Bid Rig, how can he criticize Fulop? Is this real life?

"It helps me if this is a crime! Is it a crime? Well we can't know for sure until you vote for me. I am not part of the 'machine' but I have $75k more to spend than my nearest competitor."

I guess this is what $120K in political donations can buy you. Facebook is bad enough without having to read James Solomon's sanctimony on it.

I take it James' ad was created when he thought he'd be running against Candice. Like somehow all she's about is all these crazy signs everyone hits. It's easy to grandstand, especially when you can fundraise $120,000 for a council seat. You know what's hard? Working hard, especially doing things like constituent services. Of which James' ad strangely doesn't mention.

I guess he thinks Matsikoudis will be easier to beat down the road. Imagine raising $120k for a council race and not winning?

Candice's work with speed humps and intersection signs was thoughtful. Maybe James is speaking from experience with using them for Target practice. It's the second thing he mentioned about what JC can "do better" so I guess he's pro-aggresive driver? What a weird stance.

Running on his ticket condones it, Dan. You did something politically expedient for yourself. And that's probably why you lost. And moved out of downtown.

Is this like we can talk about guns after Mass shootings and we can't talk about climate change after hurricanes? Because I don't believe that. Pearlclutching is a different form of political message. This from an anonymous troll, such deep concern.

It had been up there for months and just changed. I wonder what James' stance on aggressive driver's using signs as Target practice is now

Why did the ad come down off of James' page suddenly, Dan? Is traffic calming in Jersey City no longer to be dismissed?

Some how Dan Levin could compartmentalize Healy administration's wrong doing just fine. Healy response to Sandy too. Maybe that's why Dan lost so badly Downtown

This ad pre-dates this weekend's terrible event. My point is that traffic calming is not a punch-line for a political attack. It's an attempt to slow cars down in places where people could be hit by cars.

Why Do You Think James Solomon Took This Ad Down From the Front Page of His Website

"We can do better than pedestrian safety signs that simply serve as target practice for aggressive drivers."

I think Candice Osborne's work to calm traffic in Downtown Jersey City was prescient. It wasn't flashy, like an "Evict Kushner" Event. It was government trying, in a practical way, to make the city more walkable. I'd rather have hit signs than hit people. I thought it was a cheap shot from James.

I've gotten zero Matsikoudis' flyers. The only Matsikoudis' sign I've seen over here is attached to a chain link fence in front of an abandoned lot. Something tells me he's just running for name recognition next time.
