Do you know what the rules are about putting out old carpeting. Can I put it all out at once, can I put it out on either one of my trash nights? Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the Nicky that I know, then I must say he is a rather nice guy who has been out of work for a while. He grew up downtown and knows most of the old timers here. Please ask the people whose porch he was on, it could well be that they do in fact let him charge his cell phone on their porch.

Calling this a 'food fight' might be a little misleading.

A large group of underage kids have been hanging out around there as of late, sometimes drinking and often hooting!

Pathetic...

We too are trying to rent out two Storefronts near the Grove Street PATH.

The larger is only $1095 per month and is currently a Law Office, but it is perfect for any Office, Store, Studio, Gallery etc...

The smaller Storefront is only $795 per month and is perfect for a small Professional Office, Store or Studio.

For far less cost, our money/the City's money would be much better spent on streetscaping all of Newark Avenue and not just the first two blocks by Grove Street -- it would also be better to look at things like DanL is suggesting.

ie: widening sidewalks, removing traffic, making Newark Ave one way, closing Newark Ave to motor vehicles at certain times, closing Barrow St. between Columbus and Newark, addressing and narrowing the very wide (and dangerous) cross street intersections.

The problem with your train of thought is that you assume the Paseo costs must be "unrelated" to streescaping costs. They need not be! For far less money the city could decide to spend more wisely and impact all of Newark Avenue downtown rather than just the first two blocks by the new towers and new "restaurant row."

+1 +1 +1 +1 (oh, that's +4)

The liquor store building on the corner of Brunswick & Newark Avenue is trying to become 4 stories

The Liquor store building on the corner of Brunswick & Newark Avenue is trying to become a 4 story (6 condo) building with 2 store fronts. The liquor store will be staying. The new building will be built to lot (no setbacks) with only 3 parking spaces in the basement via a car elevator. Currently it is only a one story building and there is no basement just a slab.

We live right next door and will loose our windows on that side -- any thoughts or advice? We are concerned about

A. That the plans call for the new building to be to lot with no set backs

B. That there needs to be adequate gutters/shielding our sidewall from new added water running down from his top floor wall -- ( there is a 2 inch gap between our properties - our land )

C. We are concerned with the digging down next to our foundation wall for this new foundation

D. We are concerned with adding to the sewer system

E. We are concerned with the loss of parking in the area with his adding of only 3 new spaces - in a basement no less.

F. We are also concerned with his expansion of his liquor store via the gaining of more basement space.

We are supportive of development just wanting advice about when the development is right next door! The meeting with planning is Tuesday at 5:30pm at City Hall.

This map is really something, what an eye opener! I didn't know this much is being built.

Do people think it will all happen even in the softening Real Estate market?

I noticed that a few projects that are happening aren't even on this map. I think I read on here that there is more going on on Brunswick then they show on this map. The map also doesn't show what is happening at St. Francis site in Hamilton Park, and it is funny that they didn't make Hamilton Park Green for open space but maybe they have other plans for that!
Just kidding.
