Kind of funny that all these people were bashing Yvonne, and then this accident happens and it looks like she was proven right.

What was she right about? Please elaborate.

This is the problem, not an entire species. If a driver had multiple cases of reckless driving, they should lose their license too. That doesn't mean we should ban all cars.

I don't think you're right at all. Grab your news from more than a single source, or read the twitter links at the bottom of your source. Having some knowledge of comic books also helps, but if racism is your thing then I doubt you'll see reason. This Ms. Marvel has entered the New York Times Graphic Novel/Short Story best-seller list at #4 or better with every trade paperback release.

The new Ms. Marvel series is pretty great. What is killing Marvel's sales is a rush of new "event" storylines -- Crossover or event storylines used to happen once every couple of years, but in the last few years Marvel has had one "event" after another. These events crossover a handful of comics into a joined storyline - in the beginning it was novelty, but more recently it's a way to sell more comics. They take a single main story arc and cross it over into 4 or more core character's stories. In order to see what happens with the single character you care about you now have to read 4 other books. At $5 an issue the costs really add up. If you want to read everything about Ms. Marvel outside of just the core published 12 issues, you'd have to buy close to 100 other comics just to see what she's been up to (Secret Wars, Civil War II, Inhumans, The All-New Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, S.H.I.E.L.D...the list really goes on).

Long story short, don't use your racism to cover up shitty sales tactics - fans have no issue with the multicultural aspect of the new Marvel characters, they have issues having to buy a thousand issues at $5 a pop to keep up with the disaster that is Marvel's multiverse and never-ending cross-over events. The stories have never been better, but they are all over the place. However, if you're going to be racist go pick up a copy of Captain America: Steve Rogers as Captain America is now a Nazi, you may find things to your liking there.

He's probably happy they Made Captain America Great Again

Such anger (and inflammatory language) as you've exhibited isn't necessary in civil discussion.
Older people have settled in their ways and many are not adept at dealing with the sometimes chicanery of the money merchants. A cursory look at the JC property values vs. taxation really brought the issue home to me. Then to see houses (etc) which were up for sale for 500% of what was paid for them at auction a month earlier indicates an indecency at large amongst the populace.

Oh ok. I guess we shouldn't charge taxes fairly because "older people have settled in their ways"?

When Americans speak of China, I think we refer to mainland China.

Did you notice the signs over the checkout counters telling the clerks to smile and make eye contact? Mine didn't, but the woman at the soup counter totally did. I think it's hard culturally, I've rarely seen Asian customer service that did that, even when you're such regular somewhere that they know your order. The "customer experience" seems just not to be a thing.

I don?t mind standing, but unlike the laborers and service workers I ride with, I sit on my cracker-butt most of the day and get paid more for it.

So you get paid more huh. Do you normally reveal your salary to strangers on the train ? And what makes you think they make less than you ? You'd be surprised at what people make based on their looks.

This is an idea that I think is worthy of consideration. But, not sure why you present it as a binary choice. The PATH could set up trains that incorporate cars of different types. SRO cars could be identified by painting them with a different external color, or by some sort of special decal on the window. One or two such cars could help alleviate overcrowding. Instead of straps hanging from the roof, they could outfit the cars with horizontal bars placed in the middle of the car, making it easier for the vertically challenged to be able to ride safely.

Makes sense to me. And I never understood why the horizontal bars did not extend across the entire car. I always stay in the middle of the car just to make sure I am near them.

All else being equal (and I know JC Public Schools are not "equal"), I've always thought it was a waste for children to be taking religion classes instead of math, science, technology, history, language, etc.

And I went to Catholic schools. Could have learned so much more during that time.
