I do not feel safe walking around in DTJC because of the rash drivers. So thank you miss Osborne for this plan. And stop attacking her personally, instead of talking about the plan.

PAPD should start with making sure that the intersection of Marin blvd with 12th street remains clear. A lot of times cars block the intersections and the local JC traffic cannot pass through.

What is happening in Syria is really bad and it shows the double standards of the Arab world, but we should not interfere in other countries' matters.

So one should take a sick day when their kid gets sick? Nice..
This is a political move. There are so many unemployed people in JC. They should be helped first. Fulop is aiming for higher office and "made city government more efficient and reduced property taxes by cutting wasteful spending" is something that looks good on a Republican r?sum?. This paid sick leave thing will certainly look good on a Democrat's resume.

I love their food. They are one of the few unique restaurants in JC, which otherwise mostly has Italian, Indian, Chinese and Pizza places. I would like to see more restaurants like them open up in JC. Would love to have an Ethiopian dining option here.

Tech, health care take stake in Hudson waterfront
#42
Home away from home
Home away from home

Technology start-ups, health-services companies and publishers are filling the void left by belt-tightening financial companies on the Hudson County waterfront, according to Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey Inc.

The financial services industry has been the dominant player in the office market in Jersey City, Hoboken and Weehawken. But as a continuing repercussion from Wall Street's near-meltdown five years ago, financial firms have cut back on real estate costs and consolidated operations, sometimes downsizing their back offices in New Jersey.

Entrepreneurial companies, some in the technology and computer sector, are among those that have jumped in to lease some of that space, attracted to the area's relatively low rents, office buildings with state-of-the-art infrastructures, convenient transportation, an educated workforce and state tax incentives.

jcwalkingman, how is the tax situation in Harrison? Is it stable? I ask because I am also interested in buying in JSQ or Harrison. This argument that nothing will happen in JSQ until DT is completely built out is bogus.

I said Manhattan buddy, not entire NYC. I know entire NYC is not safe. There are some areas in Brooklyn that are even worst than the forests of Papua New Guinea which have cannibals!

JSQ might be next in line for gentrification. But the area around St. Peter's seems to be a bit far from the PATH station. I would look closer to the PATH. Also consider Harrison. It has a PATH station and Panasonic is building their technology center there.

Your argument is based on the assumption that only a white person would understand the needs and trends in the white community and similarly only an AA person would understand needs of the AA community. This is wrong. If there are any such special needs, trends, sensitivities, etc that need to be taken care of, education and training can help with that. Hiring a qualified person without looking at his or her age/color/gender/sexual orientation is the moral thing to do.
