I agree with Red-Deutsch, it is a great idea for the residents of Westside, Journal square, and the rest of Jersey City. The only store that would mostly affected by this would be the Kmart on 440.

There aren't many small businesses in that part of town anyway plus they over charge us.

We also need JOBS! Small businesses only hire their own family. Walmart will hire many people that live here in Jersey City, exactly what this city needs!

There is crime in every big city. If I had a car, I would invest in one of those condos. Or you can ride your bike to Journal Square, they have bike racks at Journal Square.

To pay the prices for the condos on the waterfront, you might as well just live in Nyc.

The area is turning around, and living near Lincoln Park is a big plus. Lincoln Park has a track, baseball field, dog run, walking trails, tennis courts, and you can even fish there. One of the comments stated the area is secluded. I think it's great to live near Journal Square and Nyc, then be able to come home to a quite and relaxing home. That is priceless in any city.

I think it is an up and coming area, good investment, but you would be happier there if you own a car. The closest public transportation option are buses. The closes PATH is in Journal Square, unless you don't mind walking from your home to the Journal Square PATH.

The condos downtown are a rip off, way too expensive for cookie box cutter apartments.

You are also near Lincoln Park, which is large, great for bike riding, and other sports. You will also be near the 440 Hudson Mall, but can take the PATH to the Newport Mall or drive there.

I think NOISE level should be included in the list. Noise is a quality of live issue some residents have to deal with depending on where they live.

Another popular gathering place is

Casino-In-The-Park
1 Nunda Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07304
(201) 333-1045

located in Lincoln Park, many events are held there, and the park has been renovated as well.

I heard this place is reasonable. It is on the border of Jersey City Heights and Journal Square.

Ukrainian Community Center
90 Fleet Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306-2241
