I know full well what Surimi is. That's my point. It's NOT crabmeat. Putting those two words together does not make Surimi crabmeat.

There's law and then there's process. Community groups sometimes can provide good feedback, even without veto power.

Am I right that the approximately the same number of people voted for mayor in 2013 and in 2017? Around 34 - 35,000 in total?

There is no such thing as Surimi crab meat. Either it's crab meat or it's not.

Even if Menendez is convicted, it takes 2/3 of the Senate to get him out.

CPC does gorgeous work. I'm still not understanding the crime here. (I do not live in Ward E.)

1. I had no trouble reading anything and I have been wearing glasses for over 50 years.
2. The list of two mayoral candidates was to the left of another list of 8 council nominees...with spaces in between each ticket. So yes, I stand by my statement that there would have been room for more names.

Irrelevant to your point, Yvonne. There was still space on the ballot for more. I am happy to fulfill my voting obligations all on one day.

I disagree. The ballot may have been long, but it's great to get it done in one shot. My polling place was busier than I've ever seen...with the exception of a presidential race. You don't get that kind of turn out for school board or other local elections.

Outright misogyny for the win. It's pretty darn obvious.

Oh for cripes sake, I've been an admitted attorney for over 30 years. If you think people (1) notify the bar when they've changed employment or (2) the bar has the manpower to respond immediately when they actually receive notification, I have a bridge to sell you. From personal experience, I can tell you I have updated my employment whenever I have to qualify for continuing education which is every OTHER year.

You post this crap as if (1) you know what you're talking about, which you don't and (2) you've never yourselves dealt with bureaucracy.

This is malicious and also ignorant.

For the record, I don't live in Ward E.

I've asked this before and I will ask again. Please someone post the list of acceptable jobs one can have before or while running for City Council.

For all the bashing, lawyers give their best for their clients at the time they are working for their clients. It's not genetic coding. It's not imprinted on your brain. If I lived in Ward E, I'd be happy to vote for someone with a long history of public service and an understanding of how the real estate process works.

A lot of people hate Booker. Do you hold that against Solomon? Or do you credit his knowledge of local government?

Dixon Advisory is the manager of real estate investment trusts. Dixon Leasing is their local leasing and management arm of the underlying assets. Yes, Dixon has deep pockets. The people who sold to them were thrilled. I live on a block with one of their properties...beautifully renovated with very nice tenants. When there was a problem with a prior tenant, we contacted Rebecca who was on it in an instant.

From her website....

"Prior to leaving her position to be a full-time councilwoman, Rebecca worked as General Counsel for a private real estate company. As the first lawyer on staff, she built and led the legal department and gained valuable insight on how private sector companies can work hand-in-hand with local governments and communities."

As there something ambiguous about this? I don't think so.

So far, everything alleged has been shown to be within the law. If you don't like the law, fix it. Second, Dixon Leasing does beautiful work. They don't cut old houses up into little apartments, but restore them to their former glory. I like that.

This whole thread is just a smear.
