He reported that it was claimed. And many news reports from those early days were retracted or never substantiated, as you well know.

The FBI investigated and never corroborated one single story. They arrested some people, or took them for questioning, but please point to an FBI report that says that people were actually celebrating. Not that it was reported, but that it actually happened, you sorry excuse for a human being.

Even the report of eight people or so was never substantiated or corroborated by anyone in a real position to know.

There is a lie by Trump, and then people like you, digging for excuses to rationalize his lies, and most of your sources are well know liars or scum like Kerick or Giuliani.

All to support a lying scum of a blowhard and make you feel good about supporting his brown shirt rantings.

He's a liar, and a proven one, as well as a felon, and one of the right wing fear brigade that are trotted out to stoke hyperventilating in the base. F*** him and Giuliani, who exploited the tragedy and loss of like on 9/11 to become greedy political shills.

Yvonne, your public sources all seem to be proven liars. It does little to shore up any credibility you retain on here.

Ok, assuming it's true, so what? You can find a small minority of people who practically support anything. And?

The first step in conquering a problem is acknowledging it. Currently, our leaders can't even do that, so this is progress.

And as Trump says, a small minority of a group consisting of over 1 billion people = a large number of violent crazies.

In terms of practical steps, shutting down all radical mosques and arresting the radical preachers is a great start. And yes, our ally Saudi Arabia is a large contributor to this.

So you believe in prior restraint and hate speech laws? True blue American there.

He made them up for Jersey City alone.

And I can find small pockets of assholes that celebrate that PP clinic shooting the other day.

But, it's OK. He's leading the republicans into losing the White House, and possibly even the Senate now..

So, keep giving the windbag airtime to supply his own rope to hang himself with.

And a dumb editorial by the NYP rag, that also lies about the widespread celebrations here does not even come close to backing him up. It may light up the eyes of zombie supporters, it's still recirculating old urban legends and purposeful blood libel.

It's hilarious that Trump walks back his lie a whole lot, and then gets rabid support for not lying quite as much, and in a friendly forum where they did not hold is feet to the fire for his actual original words.

And Yvonne. Anything to be a counter factual crank.

I lived in the Journal Square all my life, and during 9-11 specifically. There was no such thing going on anywhere near those buildings by the VIP. My brother lived in one. My cousin has a house on Van Reypen as well. I know the family that owns, and most of the staff at the VIP too. I know several other business owners, and probably hundreds of local residents.

Yvonne is full of it. She's just repeating blood libel urban legends and should be ashamed of herself.

Who all wholesale switched to the Republican Party during the realignment of the 60s due to Nixon's Southern Strategy of cozying up to the racists and pledging not to enact any new civil rights legislation.

But surely you agree that describing a Hispanic guy that hates BLM types as a "white supremacist" isn't exactly accurate. Or maybe he is and that explains why you think white supremacists make up a huge swath of this country and perhaps why you seem to think I'm a WS as well.

The same way that Italians and Irish became white after begin targets of bigotry themselves. "White" is a social construct, nit genetic. If white bigots accept them in their ranks, they are white for the purposes of shitting on other people.

And I did not say that white supremacists made up huge swaths of America. I was talking about this specific incident, with these specific assholes you support.

Also, it really removes any power those terms have. When you declare that anyone who likes Donald Trump (or any other Republican) to be a racist Nazi, then people just shrug and say "ok, whatever, who cares?" Just like the BLM crowd is acting in such an obnoxious fashion that most people have turned against both them and their message, which actually is counterproductive. That became obvious when they started to attack people having brunch in various large cities because they were white and had money. Also same with the liberal "all males are rapists and they should get a notarized consent form prior to engaging any sexual act - and they should add a new signature for each new act performed..." And you know where rapists really flock to? That's right, college campuses.

Anyway, I guess what I'm really getting at is that this nonsense is par for course among liberals.

Kinda ironic that you talk about the BLM crowd after a bunch of them got shot by actual neo-Nazi white supremacists the other day, isn't it?

Or are you really that tone deaf?

Just pointing out that you are a lazy loudmouth. You also claimed there were real news stories of Muslims celebrating 9/11. Your track record is suspect.

And for your information, you old bag, I lived here all my life. I was born in Christ Hospital, went to PS11 and Prep, and was in the pilot classes for both the G&T program and then the first AEP class. I do not need to prove my bona fides to a crank.

You made the affirmative statement. Prove it.

Some one does not know how burden of proof works.

You made an affirmative statement that is not supported. You need to prove these delinquencies were due to revals and affected long term homeowners. Anyone can tell stories.

Go support it. It's bullshit otherwise.

__

You can also dig up proof about the celebrating Muslims while you're at it.

Those bulk lien sales were basically homeowners who could not pay their taxes after reval. A recession started in the late 1980s into the early 1990s. Homeowners could not sell their properties even downtown. When I say I know people who lost their homes

You have a burden of proof to justify that malarkey.

Back in those days many people in JC did not pay taxes and other city fees and fines, mostly because enforcement was non-existent. Only later, when automated systems were put in place that sent out notices and then automated collections did many people actually pay.

There is no indication people did not pay taxes merely out of selfishness, with no reval having any contribution.

Truthiness is not adequate support when you made specific statements.

We do know for sure that both Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson did say that the US and NY had it coming, on TV no less.

That's not in dispute.

But we still get mysterious friends talking about Muslims celebrating it. I think people lie about their friends, or their friends are liars.

THe problem is that some Jersey City residence saw the muslim (men) celebrating and some didn't.

Remember when 9/11 happened it was during the time people commuting on their way to work.

There were some still at home and some on the way to work - which this group of people would not have seen the muslims celebrating whereas, those that was still home , like my friends and the neighbors who told me of that day.

It would be hard to videotaped these muslims because there were no smartphone videos at taht time. Those that did get their camera out were too focus on the Towers on fire so many were on the Waterfront. My friends and some neighbors went on their roof or balconies to get a better look and that's when eyewitnesses saw a certain apartment building with at least 6 or 8 muslim men was celebrating. Eyewitnesses called 911 but since that time cellphone signals were so jammed by people calling in and out of NYC/JC area it would've been hard to get any cops. But eyewitnesses did get hold of cops and reported the building where they saw Muslim men celebrating on that day. Since it was hours or days after and cops didn't witness the activity, eyewitness reports were dismissed. But the talk kept alive for years and till this day.

That fateful day was brought up again when Paris was Attacked, reliving of eyewitnesses seeing Muslim Men in the neighborhood celebrating. Coincidence Trump ignited the talk openly across the Nation. The whispers was just in Jersey City from Westside, to Journal Sq, The Hill, Rte 440 down to Paulus Hook!

And yet, it's always through references to third parties and friends so people don't have to put their bigotry out there as their own.

It's bullshit. Trump said he saw it on TV, and the footage never existed. He's lying to lather up his right wing, bigoted base.

I don't think this is hysteria. I think it is an accurate description of the org that perpetrated 9/11. How would you describe them?

I also find it curious that we have people on this board actually defending AQ and insinuating that they're really "not that bad." I'd love further explanation.

There are far too many terrorist sympathizers on this board. Fortunately, as national polls indicate, they are not representative of the average American. Liberalism hasn't infected everyone...yet.

The 2016 election will be a mandate on how we choose to deal with these issues, and we can only hope the right choice is made.

The dichotomy presented here is why conservatives are sick. One conspiracy nut is not all liberals. Thankfully though, it looks like most Americans are not delusional, so we won't have to worry about a president elected from the current Republican clown car.

I give no such credit to Yvonne. She is no less a bigot. She is merely not as smart as some are in trying to pretend she isn't while attempting to position herself to plausibly deny her claims. This is why her claims are couched in third party anecdotes.

Anyone who puts forward unreliable tall tales like that is just race baiting.
