Seconding that the only flaw was that it was too packed and it was difficult to even move. There were a lot of vendors I wanted to stop and browse at but there were just too many people to wade through. I don't know what the solution is but it's definitely an issue. Maybe only do vendors on one side of the street instead of doubling up and leaving such a narrow walkway?

Why does original source material only matter for one artist and not the other?? I doubt the local artist you are referring to would even care since it's pretty safe to assume he already knows this isn't an original design.

Can anyone claim originality on the "greetings from.." motif? Although iconic I don't think anyone assumed Bruce Springsteen's "Greetings from Asbury Park" album cover was breaking the mold. It's a vintage design that a lot of artists play around with.

Clifton actually makes more sense to me for corporate housing than the heights. What makes this listing so confusing is it's not cheaper than NYC and it's in an undesirable area right next to it - why wouldn't you just get a rental in the city if you're going to spend that much a month?

I agree- what corporate executive that has a private jet would need to save a few bucks staying in the heights?? I feel like it's actually easier to drive out of Manhattan to get to Teterboro via GWB then dick around in JC traffic. I am sure someone will rent it but as corporate housing for an executive? I don't see it- who wouldn't rather just be put up in a hotel that is presumably closer to where all your meetings are? All the bells and whistles is what makes the rental confusing- anyone who can afford this and wants these kinds of accommodations would have no interest in being in the heights. If it wasn't so high end I could see it being corporate housing but like someone said below- this looks like it was made for a reality show.

That's what's perplexing- it's the only halfway decent bagel store in the neighborhood so there's a line but the bagels are totally mediocre. Why has no one taken advantage of the dire need for a good bagel place? I can assure you no one is waiting in line because of quality- it's lack of other options.

The downtown location's bagel quality has really gone down. The texture is different and it's gone from hit or miss to just always bad whenever I get one from there. Why can't downtown get a decent bagel place??

Can we stop feeding the troll who has had an account for like ...a day and it's only been used to get people riled up with half baked conspiracy theories? Anyone who has been around downtown long enough knows Pint and knows this dumbass's perception of the owner is completely baseless. Sounds like someone who works for the garbage company can't let it go that someone actually stood up to them and stopped taking their shit. There's already been two poster's in here with no JCLIST history blindly defending the sanitation department - none of us are that new to the internet that we don't recognize this move.

Agreed Jerseymom. I thought it was very strange to see Candice Osbournes response to all this on the owner of Pints social media- saying that it was in fact being investigated (even though he had received no feedback to his complaint) while this guy is still "working" and demanding booze. I'm pretty sure most of us wouldn't be given a two week window to continue working if we behaved this way at our own places of employment. Why was this guy even given the luxury of being able to continue working when the evidence being shown was so obviously incriminating?? That's concerning to me. Is garbageman now an elected official that needs to be impeached?? Why did this take so long?

Maybe Pint's the only bar who doesn't care if reporting these goons results in "building inspectors" showing up? I don't get the point of your post- that everyone should be cow towing to those morons because "derrr everyone does it- did they not get the memo?" ?? You can get bottled Stumptown cold brew at Chelsea Whole Foods. I love Rook- I have tried (and failed) to find a suitable replacement locally. If you are looking for regular cold brew and not necessarily New Orleans style I would suggest just buying quality beans,a good coffee grinder, and looking up the various methods on DIYing it.

I wouldn't rely on an honest review from someone who just wants her own face plastered everywhere regardless of whatever is being promoted. She never writes anything negative because she just wants publicity for her blog and jc events/businesses are just the fodder she uses to promote herself with.

Isn't that what any entertainment/culture blog would be like? Or should everyone be negative keyboard warriors like you?

Lol no. Most entertainment/culture blogs I follow do not feature the bloggers face in every single photo that goes along with the piece nor do they get dressed up in the uniform of whoever they are interviewing like they are a 6 year old with a tape recorder working on a school project. Sorry I insulted your friend!

Uh...yes? I love seeing movies at Loew's but they are so few and far between as well as poorly promoted. This is basically how much a night out will cost you if you're seeing a concert at a major venue. Look at what people pay at sporting events for drinks and tickets. Why is this such a sticker shock? It's not like everyone is accustomed to paying a nickel to see a talkie.

Of course not, many of the downtown restaurant owners greased the wheels of Jersey politics enough to make food trucks unsustainable.

Pretty sure if your traveling restaurant on wheels fails because of one location not allowing them to park it means your business wasn't sustainable to begin with. Maybe that's why they can't tough it out in a brick and mortar location?

Not x Ray but I've gone to Hoboken Radiology to have an ultrasound done and was surprised by how fast I was in and out of there. It's within walking distance to the path but I drove and had no problem finding metered parking on the side street on a week day morning in that area.

Well maybe they assumed their restaurant was going to be visited by able minded adults who can comprehend that not being seated at vacant tables doesn't mean the hostess personally hates you. When someone uses that as a claim of poor service I immediately stop listening.

I disagree, my neighborhood was not on the map at all about 5 years ago. All the housing around the lightrail in the last two years sits on the market for 2 weeks tops before being purchased then gutted. More and more renters are being pushed away from Garfield Ave and moved towards the center of the city where there is no reliable transportation (Buses).

I don't disagree but that I would bet money that has ZERO to do with this stupid campaign. Of course other neighborhoods are going to see an influx when downtown JC/Brooklyn started pricing people out (which was happening before this campaign). Where else are they going to go?? This campaign started what- less than a year ago? No one deserve credit for this- it's a natural progression that would have happened with or without corny advertisements by JC's resident famewhores.

Put it in your front yard it will be gone in 10 minutes.

And put a piece of paper with "FREE" on it.

Or, you can try:
- there's a facebook group called SwapJC
- post on Craigslist

I've done both with free stuff in the past, and people really, really love FREE stuff!

What kind of asshole puts a FREE sign on a broken treadmill so that someone else can lug it home and then find out it doesn't work??

It's basically up to the driver to spot the pedestrian since technically they are now allowed to wander into the road at any point as long as they are within the crosswalk.

Not disagreeing with this being annoying but that's my guess for why drivers are yielding even when they don't have the stop sign.

Ummm, this has always been the law for pedestrian right of way. What makes you think its new?

Not new but they only actually started enforcing it and ticketing drivers within the past couple of years. Which resulted in this kind of lunacy for local police that had nothing better to do-

http://www.northjersey.com/news/crime ... pedestrian-decoy-1.581791

There was definitely a lot of publicity on them finally enforcing it (maybe a little more than two years ago?) but now I see plenty of cops roll by me while I stand in the crosswalk waiting for someone to finally stop.

ETA: Actually it was a new law (specifically about right of way at marked and unmarked crosswalks) according to this government site http://www.state.nj.us/transportation/commuter/pedsafety/
