Booker I don't know, but this is very very funny if you actually knew Mayor Fulop in any personal capacity whatsoever.

I guess you're saying that he's openly gay to those around him, but hasn't come out to the voting public??

No, but I'm sure the homophobes and bitter losers who ran against him will continue this rumor until they find a new person better than them to obsess over.

what "board" was a Tea Party member appointed to? A temporary advisory board that was explicitly filled with people from various backgrounds? Or a permanent, decision-making board? Come on, I know you are "all about facts" right? Why can't you just admit you are a socially conservative right winger? I voted for Lonegan because he took follow Republican, Governor Christine Todd Whitman to court over bonding. Let me give you some details. State law requires NJ voters to approve any bonding on a ballot. Whitman created an authority and transferred to bonds to them. Naturally, that was done to avoid having the bonds on the ballot. Lonegan lost the lawsuit, but that is not surprising, judges are appointed by governors. This same tactic as been used by McGreevey. There is too much gridlock in Washington, I admire someone who will cross party lines on important issues. I would have voted for Booker if he was against someone else, but Lonegan deserves my vote for taking a Republican to court.

HAHAHAHA, yes, I'm sure you voted for him because of a bonding issue some 15 years ago, nothing to do with his stances on the issues he actually will be voting on in the Senate.

I'm sure if your obsession Mayor Fulop said the same thing you'd be all over him for it. Boggiano is relishing being the obstructionist on "hot" issues. The easy ones he has no problem voting yes without much care or study, but if it's going to draw a crowd or make the paper you can bet old Richie boy will make sure to go against the administration.

Has he offered alternatives to resolutions he didn't like? No. Has he made his own counterproposals? No. He is, however, forming a nice coalition for those who just hate everything the Mayor does, which is why the lingering Healy goons, Yvonne, Fletcher, etc. will surely rush to Boggiano's side.

I know you are a troll who posts here and on nj.com as the token anti-Fulop wacko, but you do realize this was already a big issue in the election right? Did you not read the abatement plan the administration put forth, radically changing how the practice will continue? Since you are aligned with some interesting right-wingers, I suppose you want to completely leave the poor areas on their own and left to crumble, though, so I'm sure you are not a fan of that plan either. Also, Mayor Fulop could cure cancer and you would criticize it :) .

wow, Fletcher, you really took your loss in May poorly! What did you get, 7% of the vote? I know you're a Tea Partier but your rantings have become borderline scary. Shouldn't you and Yvonne be coming up with strategy for 2017, or are you just going to go all negative in that election? Regardless I personally cannot wait for the Tea Partier to run again! Will be very entertaining and fun.

Now as to how this happened. How about asking the former Councilman for 8 years for starters. You can also ask Council President Lavarro who has been on the JCRA board for a while. The executive director is an employee. All actions were approved by the board and redevelopment plans by the city council. How about holding your former council person accountable (for a change.)

Honestly, I do not give a sh-t about this problem. If the executive director should go, so be it. Fulop is the mayor, but don't fill the position. Fulop said one of his deputy directors would work on development (to justify his high price tag.) He lied of course and hired a replacement for director of HEDC anyway. Now why can't his high paid deputy mayor do this job. What the f-ck will he do anyway?

so Fletcher, you want the head to resign and no one to replace him, but the agency to remain open? I know you are a Newt Gingrich supporter so likely would like to cut all city agencies, but I don't understand how you expect this office to run without a head? Man, I cannot wait for 2017 when you run again! Will be lots of fun.

Once the redevelopmen authority puts the property into the private hands, the plans are approved by the city council, for all of those failures Fulop should take some responsibility himself. What a croc. He should also be specific if accusing someone of ethics violations. That said I'd be happy if he does not replace Antonicello and we could save the salary but that is a big if, since he will likely replace him with his own do nothing hack. Funny how a guy that looks like he works really hard surrounds himself with the usual suspects.

Jersey City mayor demands resignation of JCRA chief

By Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal

Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop today demanded the resignation of the director of the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency, accusing the agency chief of making ?unethical and imprudent business decisions.?

In a terse letter to JCRA Executive Director Bob Antonicello, obtained this afternoon by The Jersey Journal, Fulop says Antonicello hasn?t submitted a financial disclosure form required of city directors; is responsible for the extended vacancy of a space in the Hub shopping center that used to house a bank; and executed a contract with an outside business without approval from the JCRA board of commissioners.

?Over the past few months, the new administration has observed you make unethical and imprudent business decisions that have entirely eroded our confidence in your ability to carry out the mission of the JCRA,? Fulop writes in the letter, dated today.

Yvonne are you and Fletcher/john1952 going to do this until he inevitably loses his reelection bid in 2017?

We get it- you don't like the McGreevy hire, but guess what...he is super qualified for the role he is assuming. Unless of course you think prisoner reentry is a waste of funds, which wouldn't surprise me considering Fletcher is a known Newt Gingrich adherent.

To compare hiring that to taking bribes from an FBI informant is such a reach. I think you and team Fletch need to do a little deeper digging.

Besides, what about living in a multicultural society? There are bigotry against religion, especially Catholics, who practice the faith as it is written. The next fashion on marriage might be plural marriage, marriage to family members (incest) and animals. I turned on my radio in the car and actually heard people advocating for these rights. I remember a man saying he wants to marry his sister. And another person talked about his special affection for his horse. The horse was more faithful than his wife.

"Fashion" on marriage? Like this is some trend that will come and go? Comparing same sex marriage to bestiality? That is so incredibly insulting to the millions of homosexuals in this world.

You may be better suited for a place like Iran, where former President Ahmadinejad confirmed there are zero sinning homosexuals to interfere with your life. Or Westboro Baptist Church may work for you.

Although your anti-Fulop agenda is quite blatant, you should at least know that supplying work mobile phones for employees is standard practice in a growing number of private and public businesses throughout the country. If you are receiving work emails and conducting work-related activities on the go and at home, it is not unfair to have the employer provide the hardware. Also, iPhones are in no way more of a financial burden than blackberries when purchases at the corporate level.

Plenty of steps to be taken won't cost a dime. Recalibrating traffic signals to allow for longer pedestrian crossings costs nothing. Putting parking back on streets costs nothing. Other costs are negligible.

And I know that at our meeting, Candice forthrightly stated that any measures that cost significant money, such as the installation of "bulbouts" would be a longer term project.

I wouldn't feed the troll. "John1952" is Fletcher Gensamer, the last place loser in the recent Ward E election and Tea Partier/Newt Gingrich supporter. He is clearly on a anti-Fulop crusade which should be entertaining until he finds something else to do with his lonely life.

Despite what your incorrect preconceived notions tell you, Mayor Fulop and this gentleman were very bitter enemies since his tenure with the city began under Mayor Healy.
