The outage is also affecting west of mommouth on 1st and 2nd. lights just came back on between 1st between colgate and brunswick.

my husband saw them working on a pole by brunswick and columbus. lights went out and then i heard a crapload of sirens.

isn't that where where they have those apartment with huge flat screens and NO window treatments. If those people get robbed they shouldn't be surprised.

i live near there. i have indios to worry about tho. hopefully they are too drunk to steal anything. i have a entrance door(with the wrong frame thanks guys) and then a front door to my apt. it is a metal frame and metal door. i keep it locked when home.

i am on disability(short term) so i am home all day. I really hope they rob the guy above me if they rob anyone. he's a douche and i don't want to have to run down my deck with two cats and try to jump a fence while crippled.

Pet Insurance is worth it for the hard decisions. I would max out my credit cards take out loans whatever it takes for my cats. having the insurance let's me know if they get hurt that i will get money back. I would never euthanize an animal unless it was in extreme pain.

I had a cat with diabetes when i was a kid and it was very expensive for my parents. they did what they had to and we gave him a few more years.(he was older when he got it)

the sooner you get insurance the better. Just think of it as an emergency plan and if they have a continued coverage plan for a few extra bucks that excludes any pre existing conditions do that.

ASPCA is easy to get the money back, not expensive and when they get sick they do cover it. it's the general check up stuff that they suck at. i could pay more for that coverage but i would spend more than it costs me a year to pay for some blood work each year.

Re: Best Pet Insurance?

I have the ASPCA Advantage insurance for both my cats. It is good for emergencies but they low ball what the cost of everything should be. If the dog has had any medical problems in the 6 months prior to the start date it is excluded for 6 months. this includes a stomach ache.

they automatically renew and every year they consider a brand new policy. anything related to an illness from 6 months prior will not be covered unless you get the continued care coverage.

the deductible is 100 bucks but they don't pay for so many things or think a check up should cost 25 bucks so it takes a lot to hit it. after the 100 it is 80%/20% cost the 20% being you if it is something they cover. like if god forbid the dog got hit by a car they would cover 80% of "reasonable cost" there is also a limit per a year they will pay out and a limit per an incident. i pay about 50 bucks total for both. they cover routine care but will not cover bloodwork during their check ups even though it is recommended for cats over 5. if i hadn't have had it done one of my cats could have died.

i would consider all my options. ASPCA not so great. easy to apply and send claims but pre existing conditions r a pain in the ass.

Groomingdales is good. my cat is a pain in the ass and they gave her a lion's cut without a problem.

if you just need to comb your cat and cut their nails you should probably learn how to do that. it isn't that hard.
they will eventually get used to it.Quote:

When did ownership of the Ale House change? I first went there when i moved to Jersey City like 2-1/2 years. I had a Caeser Salad and it was horrid. I went again on a night they had penne ala vodka and that was good.. i tried it one more time and it was bad and by then i discovered simple fell in love with there chicken sandwich and their chicken with mashed potatoes... then they completely changed everything.

I really really like Skinner's Loft.

I am just curious who's food was my problem in the beginning. It would be great if they had a reasonable priced bar with good atmosphere and the option to pay a little more or get a burger and fries for 6 or 7 bucks.

You need to define what you want to spend. in the NY metro area cakes usually starts at $9 bucks a slice. My wedding cake was simple and great but it was $600 bucks for 50 people.

Love living here :)

They are selling the lamp post? noooo I really like their chicken blt and their burgers. their fries are sooo good and they are only a block and a half away.

the Ale House is horrible... Simple was good but then they changed the menu and started sucking. when i lived by Hamilton park i used to go to simple all the time then they changed and it got expensive and gross.

How much is it per a pound. I am interested in the roast chicken if the price is right.

did i read it right that they have a set take home menu weds-fri.

I'm sick and the chicken and potatoes sounds great for tomorrow but not for $20 bucks.

I am not saying it's not good.. i have no idea if it is.. i need to be really financially responsible especially right now b/c of personal reasons... but grilled cheese and soup is getting old. some real food would be good and the husband doesn't cook.

I wonder if it was one of those children who are always on the corners between Colgate and first and second.

My husband came home from the store and saw all cops on colgate. The guy who grabbed the girl is so closed to a school. I was awake until 1 am last night and apparently this guy lives right around the corner from me and I heard nothing at all when he was getting arrested.

Is not. He's just calling it like he and I see it, that Americans have a problem of confusing their own identities with their car, from what the model "says about them" to the ridiculous idea that something you park on the street is sacrosanct. You park on the street, expect to get tapped. Period.

Painted bumpers must have been invented by body shops, a supremely stupid idea. When plastic bumpers were first introduced, they were mostly black.

Oh hell no. I do not identify myself in my car in any way at all. I work hard, I need my car, and I do not appreciate self involvd a holes who think they can hit my car because it parked on the street.

I respect other people's property. I have honestly never hit anyone's bumper but my husband's(and that part was plastic and did no damage) and i admitted it and checked that nothing happened to it. I still felt bad that I did it.

The problem is American's not respecting other human beings and their property. (aka we just come into other countries jack them up and go tag your it you fix it)

Once again, I am in so way defined by my car. it service a purpose and i use my hard earned money on paying for it. I didn't buy an expensive car but still just don't hit it. Learn to park! Why is this such a hard concept? don't touch people's property even while on public property.

Has nothing to do with court. File an insurance claim. Done it before, with success. You would be surprised how much it costs to have even a small ding repaired correctly on a painted bumper.

I'm not so naive to think I'm not going to get bumped and dinged. The belief that it is ok, or should be accepted is what gets to me.

Would you buy a $30,000 home theater system and leave it on the street? Probably not. Too many people buy fancy, expensive cars and forget to account for the fact that said car is gonna be exposed to the whims of thousands of people. Unless you have a private garage or a force-field around your car it's gonna get dinged, bumped and scratched. Most of the damage on my car was caused by garbage-men dragging cans and bags over the hood and trunk of my car. And if you hog parking spaces you are just asking for it! The auto industry needs to design a more effective and practical "city bumper".

Incindental contact from city parking is one thing. However, if you make contact, you should leave a note and cover the damages, if there are any.

And clearly, intentional contact with another vehicle for any reason is unjustifiable.

If someone parks like a douche and I need to bump them to squeeze into a spot I wish them good luck trying to get money from me. The cops would laugh in their face and so would I!!!

The person who was hit would contact the police and their insurance insurance would go after your insurance. I had someone do minor damage to my car in the city and it cost $750 because they repaint the whole bumper.

If you think it is okay to bump someone's car b/c you do not know how to park you are a douche.

If you walk with a cane it is a lot better than using the stairs. the grove street station is difficult for disabled people in general. I'm a cripple and ever little bit helps.

The PATH is horrible about ADA access. At Pavonia they have that horrible ramp. some disabilities make it harder to walk up a ramp than stairs. I don't think any are ADA in the city aside from 33rd.

There are many ways to be a gimp.

The house comparison is not correct. A car on the street should be expected to get bumped etc. That's why they are called "bumpers". It's not the bumping that's the problem, it's the quality or lackthereof of bumpers.

What is really causing the damage is the screws from license plate frames, or when you drag along the side. Bumpers are designed to be able to take a 5pmh impact or less and not show any damage, but that is just bumper to bumper with no screws.
