It's reported it costs $23,000.00 to just watch one-three terrorists in the USA. There's a long lists of names to watch that's why many go under the radar and our Government miss many potential terrorists. This is disturbing.

The terrorists sprayed the neighborhood with bullets didn't care who they were shooting. They shot at a Cambodian Restaurant where, the 23 yr old American student was having dinner and another Cafe restaurant across the street. 15 died in one restaurant another 19 in another.

We cannot have a Paris Attack Style here. Terrorists tried to silence music by spraying bullets to the concert goers.

I am so glad 16 States and growing are banning Syrian refugees because we already have ISIS sympathizers living amongst us just getting ready to strike Paris style.

i'm sick of these Leaders who don't say Muslims. That's why these terrorists do what they do because they are given tolerance. Stop the political correctness. Thats why terrorists are able to infiltrate the West.

I need to know if TALDE is good or bad from people who actually went.

I've been hearing conflicting reports. Some hate the food. Claiming they had much better foood elsewhere but everytime I pass the joint on a Friday night, 2 Friday nights to be exact the place is packed! While the Italian next door is near empty.

As for Sushi Tango closing down, good riddance. I visited that place twice: the furniture was dirty (the covers on the cushions on the benches were FILTHY) and the place overall was just one giant MEH with zero ambiance and just plain dead. The second time was a take out order (no way I was going to waste my time sitting there) but it was remarkably uninspired sushi.

If you want truly great sushi, served by people who are welcoming and always smiling and looking to serve you with care, go hit up Honshu Lounge (above City Diner, formerly known as Flamingo Diner). Their sushi is always fresh, and very good. And, to top it off, it is BYOB. Once I found Honshu, my search for good sushi came to an end.

Honshu has moved to a new location, yes?

What a surprise. Councilman Fulop says one thing (very loudly), Mayor Fulop does another.
i figured it would only be a matter of time before fulop turned into healy II...why does this project need a 20 -year abatements...doesn't his guidelines state 10-15?

Re: Is Jersey City Real Estate in a bubble?

Hoboken is an island in itself. Hoboken doesn't get the same crowd as Jersey City when it comes to the PATH. The influx JC gets, is from the burbs to people in Staten Island down to the city folks. The headache is huge. I know so many renters have left for NY, preferably, Queens and Brooklyn, if they dont want the prices in Manhattan.

Downtown Jersey City is another. I've lived in both areas, with JC living longer for years off and on, the other being NYC. I've takened the 1, E, N, R, D, F, M trains. At least in NYC when one or two is down there are other ways to get to where you need to get in the city. In Jersey is only 2. The PATH and NJ Transit trains. Good luck with the buses when the PATH has problems. If you actually had to commit to work be that in Jersey City financials or NYC I dont need to describe you the headaches. But of course if you're the owners you'll paint a perfect picture to get renters. But they'll realized sooner or later and will move out. Why you think so many For Rents lately. PATH better get their act together.

Sorry you've been living under a rock for the past 6 months and never bothered to read the thread that you are commenting in. If you had, you'd see the Shoprite isn't going anywhere.

Once new residences realized the PATH is horrible with so many delays and suspensions, no convenient grocery store like Shop Rite (must take car to schlep miles away for food shopping) they will leave Jersey City. Just you watch.

Where do they proposed people downtown and waterfront go food shopping?! Many do not have cars since they forgo getting one with problematic parking space.

The city and the Mayor is full of it. There are far more empty skyscraper apt/condo infesting downtown jersey city and only one necessity grocery store for the rich and poor.

So, tell me, where do the politicians think the people will have to schlep to buy groceries? Most of the people living in Downtown, Newport and the waterfront do not own cars!

Jersey City housing especially downtown and near the waterfront is over inflated. The Path Trains giving problems almost every work week are sending people out of the State and flocking to NYC! If you work in Jersey City you're ok but the majority work in NYC and the commute thanks to the Path Trains have driven many to move to Brooklyn, Queens etc..

Re: Western Bergen Lafayette

Funny. I had to take the Lite Rail today and I happened to look at the route schedule. The WestSide Lite Rail stops at Garfield St (which is also Claremont St) this is before MLK Drive and after Liberty State Park Stop. Perhaps if it's near the Lite Rail it's not so bad , however it is Greenville because the last stop is WestSide.

BTW, there wasn't a shooting in front of City Hall on Grove. IT was a sexual assault and knife. it happened at 1:30am on Monday. Not a shooting in broad daylight where kids and innocent people happened to be walking by.

Re: Western Bergen Lafayette

This is what I know Greenville in itself is not a safe area.

Ocean Ave is long but majority of the street is not safe especially at night.

A somewhat safe area but rather a spot than a block, is when I drive to RT 440 on Communipaw-Bergen/Layfayette. it's a slope and few brownstones before i reached an area where there are alot of Car Dealers.

ETA:

the best advice is drive at night as well day in the neighborhood and see how you feel.

Isn't this where a 5 yr old boy got shot in broad daylight? IT just happened last week on MLK Drive.

Not a safe area that I know. Sometimes the house may look so nice but the hood is not.

I ran over there and 2 women who was there before me said the woman looked really bad. blood was coming out of her mouth.
The boy was injured could be non-life threatening.

Soon after we heard from cop cars radio they're flying the victim to another hospital.

The woman was 43 yrs. old.

If your VERY rich friend wants a luxury 2 brs in Jersey City the only place is 77 Hudson. Period.

Beyond that she better cross over the Hudson in Tribeca and Wall St area.
