I agree, at least with that truck we can "break out dancing in the streets."

Ummm... have you ever had a girl scout cookie? They are delicious!

I don't recall saying I was concerned about it. I was responding to the OP, and was sharing something I learned while living in the city. Read my post again and see if the word, "disturbed," or "concerned," is there. Have a great weekend

We were walking all over town today and it was everywhere we went. I felt like the vehicle was following us. I could not understand what they were saying over the loudspeaker, it was just weird.

It's sad for me to say (being a former girl scout :) that I do not trust the kids selling anything on the street or train. When I lived in the city I witnessed those kids selling candy on the train for their "basketball uniforms" meeting up with an older man and handing over some of their money. This was in Washington Heights and ever since then I am always skeptical. I am not sure if it is legal, but I just don't buy it.

I feel so bad for this guy. It sucks to lose that much money, and not to mention your passport. Those things are such a hassel to get renewed.

We were having brunch at The Beechwood today with some friends visiting from New Hampshire. I had never seen the pimp and one of my friends said, "Please look outside." So I did, and there he was sporting a greenish-blue suit and looking as good as the photos.

When I see the Starlite Motel the first word that comes to my mind is "cleanliness."

I joined yesterday and it is really easy. It didn't take long, and it was hassel-free. So join up asap and get those points for them.

Great idea! There should be a skate park in every city.

I am curious as well. Were people home at the time? What was taken? What kind of apartment buidlings?

Speaking of weird path experiences, last night (early this morning) a drunk man sat down, proceeded to take out his uncircumcised penis for the world to see. I think he was an out-of-towner. Very interesting what you see when you use public transportation.

Re: Greenville: 3 Shooting Incidents Hours Apart
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

I am a preschool teacher four years in Washington Heights and now I teach in Paterson. Both areas are low-income and high crime areas. I agree with both sides, the cops need to step it up, but the community needs to as well. I notice a pattern with the parents that I deal with, and it leads directly to the way they are raising their children. My kids are young and untainted by society. But when I am trying to teach them how to problem solve in a non-violent way, they go home and have their parents teach them that violence solves everything. It's scary to think where some of these kids will be in ten years. There are crooked cops, just like there are crooked business men, and crooked school administrators, but if the community wants to see change they need to play a part in it.
