I don't know about you, but when I'm on my bicycle, I'm constantly focused on surrounding traffic for my own safety. An officer on horseback has a much wider view and is far more visible to other traffic.

I am repeating only one thing. The Catholic Church acting like is a criminal enterprise, covering up and moving around sexual predators for decades.

You can call it Moe, Larry or Curly for all I care. It's not about "the gay community." It's not about "the pedophile community." There are abusers of every kind in any orgnization. It's about how the organization responds. Penn State blew it. The Catholic Church is Penn State on steroids.

THe abuse is on the abusers. The decades long coverup and shuffling of abusers from one parish to another to keey preying on children and teens is on the Catholic Church. There is nothing you can say that can change these facts.

I put both glass and paper in clear bags designed for recycling. The city has been taking those bags for years...I mean DECADES. No problem. Today was the first time I learned this is not acceptable.

To my mind, the city has an enforcement issue. I have no issue complying with this directive...it's just that I have not had an issue with paper in recycling bags for DECADES until today.

I noticed today that Recycling had failed to pick up several bags of paper overnight. I contacted the JCRR with a photo. The response was that paper should be in clear bags.

I have been putting paper out in clear bags for years. Is this new?

The abusers are at fault. And the church is at fault. If any other enterprise covered up and abetted abuse to this extent, the ringleaders would be in jail and the enterprise would be shut down.

As an outsider, I truly hadn't realize that dogma dictates how to cover for criminals within the church. Can you point to which of Christ's sermons covers such doctrine?

The bishops are speaking honestly? The fact that bishops are even speaking at all comes after DECADES of hidden abuse, shuffling priests and billions paid in legal settlements.
