About a week ago I nearly got hit by a guy who continued to go eastbound on Wayne past Grove. He zipped into the garage on Wayne before trouble started.

Best I can figure is that they do not want people making turns onto Marin from Wayne. That would add to the mess that Marin is already.

this. it's really not all that uncommon to have one-way streets that head towards each other.

I imagine the main reason is if it went all the way to Marin, a lot of people would try to make left turns (even with a right-turn only sign), which would be extremely dangerous at that curve.

even the machines suck. You have to put in a $20 and then subtract the money you don't want to add to it, as opposed to just saying "I want $5 here is a $20 bill." It's such a scam meant to trick people into accidentally depositing more money than they meant to.

I'd hardly consider a small restaurant to be a "retail" business.

I've also never experienced any bad service. When I go there I go there to get food, not smiles, songs, and dances. I'm not sure what other people are expecting when they go to get food.

it's got nothing to do with being cheap, you just don't need guacamole on everything. If you're that concerned about it just get tacos to go and eat your guac at home.

A conundrum indeed

"Are you still trying to convince us that these prescriptions were for legitimate medical reasons?"

Ok, it is very clear now that your cognitive ability on this matter and an understanding of it's totality of circumstances is lacking; therefore, I will try to help you by stating the following: There is no need to convince you or anyone else for that matter that these mentioned prescriptions were legitimate for medical reasons. The clear fact and point of focus is that they are indeed legal, legitimate prescriptions for a valid medical diagnosis of testicular or endocrine- based hypogonadism that does affect a certain percentage of men in society... These officers did not violate or break any federal or state mandated laws governing medical prescriptions. Yes, I do agree that police officers or members of any public safety entity are held to a higher responsibility to sustain and ensure the safety of the public, but keep in mind all of these officers mentioned are under the supervision of certified doctors who constantly monitor each individual officer; therefore, negating any chance that these officers would become a liability to perform his or her duties. The City and Department are aware of the certain doctors the mentioned officers are receiving treatment from, and not one of these doctors is under any type of investigation for illegal activities... Finally , one main fact that most keep looking past, is that there are no federal laws, state statutes, mandated Attorney General Guidelines, City or Departmental SOP's that govern and enforce a policy of 'LEGAL' prescribed testosterone treatment. There are only guidelines and laws for ?ILLEGAL? usage of steroids or any type of hormones. The only state in the United States that has passed a state-wide policy concerning ?LEGAL? use of steroids or hormonal treatment is Arizona, which allows its officers to receive legally prescribed testosterone treatment as long as the officers are under the supervision of an accredited doctor and the mentioned patients levels are kept at a certain testosterone level with dosages not exceeding 300 mgs per 14 days... All of the officers mentioned were well under these dosage amounts..

From all the posts on this subject, it seems most are ill- informed of the true aspects and details of this entire matter, so hopefully this helps...
Yeah, it helps me understand that you or someone in your family is a JC cop getting steroid prescriptions.

You?re not going to convince anyone that dozens of JC policemen and firemen suddenly in the past few years all came down with hormone deficiencies requiring them to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get juiced up, and that only one doctor was capable of catching these hormone problems. Just because a prescription is written by a doctor doesn?t mean it?s legal. I don?t know what the hell is going on in that juiced-up brain of yours but it?s pretty obvious that this doctor was illegally giving prescriptions for steroids to people that did not really need them.

Three thoughts:

-They must have been adorably tiny rats.

-In Newark, the rats hunt Yorkies.

-Yorkies are cats, it seems.

Correlation isn't causation, you racist dickbag, and income is a better predictor of crime than race by far. Jersey City has a population about 5 times the size of Weehawken and Hoboken combined, and a lower median income.

Large cities generally have higher crime rates than small towns, especially if they have lower median incomes, regardless of ethnic make-up.

It sucks when your dog gets hurt and I do think the other owner needs to train their dog better.

But Yorkies are as fragile as eggshells and need to be treated as such, which means keeping them away from anything larger than a Chihuahua. I?m amazed they can even walk with those pencil-thin legs. If you?re going to keep a teeny tiny dog as a pet you should be aware that large dogs are going to treat it like a chewtoy, that kids might play too rough with it, and that a bird of prey might pick it up if it?s left alone.

Larger dogs eat smaller dogs, it?s the circle of life. Also rats or large birds would eat Yorkies, I imagine. Yorkies are basically hairy babies on coke if you?re gonna let it outside you should keep it in a stroller.

newsflash: public transit and highway systems never make money. Doesn't mean they're not a good investment, as the returns come in different, less measurable ways than ticket sales.

I am here as a voice of support for the USPS. I prefer things come from USPS because they always deliver it, and they do it well. UPS or Fedex never deliver it, or they fail to do it and eventually I have to drive out of the way to Secaucus or Kinnelon or wherever. Ugh.

I would love being able to bike into the city. A pedestrian route in the tunnel would be depressing and I don't think anyone would want to do it. Even biking would be a bit weird. There's a lot of exhaust and nasty stuff down there I don't think I'd want to inhale. Ever look at the roof of the tunnel? Covered in soot, which is why they close down lanes so often to clean it.

I support this thingy here. Not so much because I think it will save the planet, but because plastic bags are disgusting trash that just end up all over the streets, or used once and then thrown away. Might as well just use a canvas bag. They're stronger, durable, re-usable, and you get discounts at grocery stores.

I am not flailing, you're supporting bad data. Just make a call to JCPD or ask a guard. The data is NOT posted on line.
they are aout there in all types of weather, get hit by cars and take all kinds of
Abuse.
Again, drive by Lincoln or Ferris at dismissal.
Now how abt the school security guards. Let's go after them next.
okayyy well even if they do work 20 hours a week, then $20,000 per year, working 20 hours a week, for 36 school weeks, is still $28 per hour. Which is quit a bit as well.

Of course, it's kind of stupid that we can't all agree on a number. Can't we just ask the Jersey Journal people how they got their numbers? Ask them if they meant $48 per day?
