Each spring, these living fossils migrate to the sandy shores of Caven Point Beach to lay their tiny turquoise eggs by the millions. We will observe these amazing creatures and explore the shore line for other estuarine inhabitants. Please dress to be outdoors and wear old shoes that can get wet and muddy (no open toed shoes or flip flops). We will meet at the Park Office located at 200 Morris Pesin Drive and then drive over to the study site, so you will need your own vehicle to get from the Park Office to our study site. This program is appropriate for adults and families. For more information or to register, please contact the Nature Interpretive Center at 201-915-3400 x202 or email LSPNatureCenter@dep.nj.gov.
