Brooklyn funk-jazzers Middle Blue sound a lot like their name; their music sits in that special sweet spot between genres, ideas, dreams. Brought to life by sax, guitar, bass, and drums, the sounds also don't belong to one era or another—at a Middle Blue show, you'll hear songs by Alice Coltrane but also Robyn, not to mention rapturous original tunes that could only have come from the present moment.
